Clark & Mayfield Women's Stafford Pro Leather Laptop Tote Bag 15.6" - Black

This bag arrived as described appearance-wise. It looks good in-person and really fits the purpose I bought it for. I work as a consultant and am visiting clients all the time, lugging my computer back and forth and setting up my "desk" in any free space or conference room I'm given. Because of this, I need to bring a lot of stuff with me (cords, mouse, mouse pad, notebooks, files, pens, snacks, extra clothes, cosmetics... etc) all the time.I needed a fully functional laptop bag, but wanted something that looked professional yet slightly more feminine than the typical laptop bags I'd been using. This bag is made with businesswomen in mind.. all the little things missing from other bags are included in this one. It stands upright and has supports to keep the bag from toppling over, it has a discreet luggage strap making it ideal for traveling and use as a carry-on (fit perfectly under the seat as well), top zipper secures all your stuff and adds a level of privacy, internal pockets allow for organizing of power cords, computer mice etc, fits files even legal size, padded compartment for laptop... mine is 15" and has plenty of room, front pocket has room for business cards pens, cell phone.. , the stitching and leather quality is awesome and very durable, the list goes on...Before finding this bag I was annoyed that most "business" bags for women charged top dollar and offered no functionality. It made it appear as though they really didn't take the needs of professional women seriously, rather only offering an additional fashion accessory big enough for a lap top. This bag is different and I would recommend it to anyone who asks.

I did a LOT of looking at bags and reading reviews. I narrowed it down and ordered 3. This one is by far the best and is without a doubt the one I'm keeping! It looks classy (another one looked like it was trying to be classy but looked cheap) and also seems durable. It stands up on its own nicely. I love that the laptop compartment is in the middle so not only is it better protected but it creates a good size compartment on each side. And the pockets!! The main pockets on the inside are deep and big enough for charging cable and accessories. There are also additional small pockets perfect for phones (one each for my personal phone and work phone) plus a couple little ones, as others mentioned, for chapstick and little things that can easily get lost in the void of a big bag without places to put little things. I didn't think I'd care about that part but actually I love it. The front outer pocket is big enough to fit my wallet and some little things. Part of the reason I chose this bag upon seeing the 3 in person is the others were suitable to be only computer bags, this one I can easily toss my wallet and other essentials is or put them in little pockets and I don't have to carry a separate purse. And I won't just barely do, it easily holds it all. I also love that it has a 17 and a 15 inch size option. the 15 fits my computer with plenty of room to spare. The 17 would be good if you have a really big laptop but would have been way too big for me. Many bags only come in 17 inch. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't is an optional long cross-body strap. I don't really think that will end up being a big deal though.UPDATE: I've been using it about a week and still love it! It turns out that I really don't care that it doesn't have a cross-body strap, the handles are the perfect length and it's easy to carry. I've also gotten a lot of compliments on how nice it looks.

This is a very well made bag. The leather is beautiful. It is easy to organize and the pockets are logical. The outer pocket is very handy. My rather large laptop and charger fit - no problem. The main drawback is that it is quite heavy. When full it is manageable as long as you are not carrying it long distances. Would definitely not be ok if I was relying on public transportation.

High quality, beautifully color, wonderfully diverse in it's use. Padded for the laptop, multiple pockets for all your pens, gadgets, paper, glasses, tape-measure- You name it it will fit!! I love this bag, many compliments and over the last year it has worn very well!

This is my 3rd Clark & Mayfield bag. I love them! I like that there are shoulder straps (for short carries into a client's home) and a long strap (for airport trips). Also, the back strap that attaches it securely to the handle of your rolling carry on bag is GENIUS. The inner pockets are perfectly varied in size - some large and deep enough to hold a large paint fan (for my design business), some for business cards, some sized for chap stick. Perfect! There's a place for my laptop, but also separate from my files and tablet.Oh...and it's stylish to boot. Women are constantly asking where I got it.

I got this for use as my business travel carry-on for the following reasons:1. Has a dedicated laptop compartment2. Main body of the bag zips shut3. Actual leather for durability4. Multitude of unlabeled pockets5. I CAN FIT ALL THE SNACKS EVER IN HEREThe one problem I have is that this bag, when unloaded, has some serious WEIGHT to it. When it's full, you could probably swing it and knock down small children - it's that heavy. I knew leather bags weighed more, but I wasn't expecting this much. Still, since I don't plan on using this as a daily carry, I'm gonna stick with it.

Like other reviewers, initially I was concerned with the size being a bit large, however it turned out to be just right. The pockets are very nice for organization. I carry a Macbook ProAir, occasional books, a few files and lunch so turned out to be just the perfect size. I especially appreciate how well it stands up despite what I have inside. I am definitely happy with this purchase and considering purchasing another one just so I have one in 5-10 years when this one wears out.
