BrassCraftMfg 379121 BrassCraft BCT010 Hornet X Universal Toilet Flapper

Bought this for a 1950's crane toilet. It mounds by attaching to a plastic hook of sorts via the slit at the end of the flapper mount. Finally after years of using an inferior product, I found this one. It took about a minute to install, make an adjustment to the chain length and viola, a toilet that does not run, that flushes perfectly and a good night sleep for me!

worked perfectly for my old toilet when the plumber who came to my house didn't have the part. Simple to install, and is EXACTLY what i needed. Holds water in the tank with no leaks or issues.

I can't count the amount of money I flushed down the drain because of this stupid part. It's made of hard plastic so there's no seal and water just continuously flows into the toilet bowl & down the drain.

It's probably a good flapper ** IF IT FITS YOUR FLUSH VALVE**Universal flush valve is all you can find for description. I have a Lavelle 2inch flush valve that has a slightly oversized overfill tube.On this particular fill tube When any flapper is fully closed it sits at an angle. This flapper doesn't fit it because it makes contact with the overflow tube preventing the flapper from coming all the way down and creating a seal.Maybe it will work on a fill tube that uses a standard sized overflow tube?Maybe it will work on a fill tube that allows the flapper to sit level when closed?The standard Hornet BCT001 works fine on the this Lavelle valve.The Hornet V (BCT005), now this thing just flat out works. No problems with it.

Works great and lasts a long time. The universal model did not work but this model fit perfectly. Withstands blah and chemicals better than cheap replacements at home depot.

Chain is awesome, but the rubber base kinked, basically negating the purpose. I switched back to the old flapper with this chain. Might work better with its own base, rather than the one that was installed on my toilet

Our old flapper needed to be replaced. We bought a new one from a large box store and it did not work well as it allowed water past the seal. We always liked these yellow flappers and they have always worked well for us - this was no exception
