Pisces Pros HBH Newt and Salamander Bites Amphibian Food (1.2 oz)

We found a salamander in our dry basement sump some time ago, so I bought him some food since he only had a few beetles fall in. I think it was okay, and he seems to come out and eat it. I also bought some meal worm from Home Depot, and he eats this as well. It's hard to keep track of him though since he lives under the concrete floor of the basement.

My Tiger Salamanders love this food. After my local large chain pet store stoped carrying newt/salamander food I tried a few different brands and was pretty disappointed with the quality but was even more concerned that my salamanders weren't very interested in them. Once I switched back to pices pros there was a noticeable difference, the pellets are softer than the other brands I've tried and smellier too, which may be why the salamanders like them so much. The important part is that it makes my 15 year old salamanders happy.

Nothing wrong with the food, but my Newts won't eat it.

One of the few 'treats' that my axolotls will snap up! I wish they were a tiny bit bigger but that's OK. My pets love them and will 'swim' to the surface to be the first to grab these pellets even though the pellets sink. I have probably 10 different kinds of food to try to tempt them but the Newt pellets are the best. Plus, I LOVE the label! So cute!

My two Italian newts love this stuff. Very happy, very healthy. One even laid an egg sac just last week-- they are really in top shape-- and all they get is this food. Awesome stuff, will buy again, and recommend to anyone looking for a good food for their ‎Salamandridae.

Made the water a mess very quickly and our Axies wouldn’t touch them.

The pellets were just the right size I was looking for, and my axolotls absolutely love them too!
