A disclaimer: I am not using this for its intended purpose. I am a habitual nail biter, lip biter, pencil chewer, you name it. I have been known to put sharp objects in my mouth without thinking. I've tried those chewing toys and silicone straws to try and curb it but it just doesn't give me that same oomph.These have done the trick, hands down. I have gone through about 20 of them so far and have the bag full of them at my desk. They are incredibly smooth, so I am not worried about getting a splinter in my mouth like some of the kebab sticks or those cheap chopsticks you get for free with your order. (Like I said, I'm a chewer.) One of these sticks is actually able to hold up for a few days (usually not more than a week) before the structural integrity fails and I'm able to break it. I've been able to break chewing stim toys in a single day, so take that for what you will.I'm really impressed with them, and considering how many I have left, it's been 100% worth every penny. I'm positive that if you're looking to use it for its intended purpose for food, it will be perfect.

I was so frustrated with stupid, flimsy popsicle sticks last year when making caramel apples that I was excited to come across these. They are sturdy, and the skewer end can penetrate an apple easily but is not too sharp to hurt your hand. They can, of course, be used in other ways, such as for fondue or appetizers or keeping sandwiches together, etc. I have used a few to support some of my plant branches and mark plantings in my garden. The point is that they are versatile, so they are a great addition to your kitchen and home. They also come in a smaller size if preferred.
