Currently my Favorite Socks
I have waisted SO much money on compression socks. These are my current favorites. Why? They are MUCH easier to put on than the Sigvaris 30-40mmHg closed-toe socks. They come with a little bootie to help get them on. I do believe that they don't offer quite as much compression as the closed-toe version, but in my case it is worth the trade off. Besides I could be wrong about that or you might have a different experience. With closed-toe I seem to have more problems with ingrown toenails. It is such a joy to be able to wiggle my toes with socks on. Very handy if you want the option of wearing sandals. Thought it might be a big problem with the socks riding up from my toes, but turns out to be minimal, and easily adjusted. I can even wear these overnight if necessary, though I don't recommend it without doctor approval. No way could I ever do that with the closed-toe version. I tried! Regarding size: My calf measurement was borderline (16 inches). I have tried "Long" and "Short". "Short" was definitely the best choice, especially since you don't want the socks to go higher than a few inched below your knee. I can't use the Long ones now. Even with the short ones, I have to be careful not to over-stretch them so that they are too high on my calf. FYI I have read that compression socks over the 20-30mmHg strength really should be recommended by a doctor, but I didn't know that when I started shopping for socks. FYI Unless you are an athlete, it might be best to go with medical compression socks, as opposed to those made for athletes. True for me anyway. Good luck!

Very happy with my purchase.
...Very happy with the pressure, quality, and how quickly I received these. The toe area can get a little tight if worn overnight but if it was looser they wouldn't stay in place. The end band (by the toe) is a decent width, so it's really not too bad. I just pull them down a little more towards where my foot/toe area narrows. Generally, I wear sandals, so these are the best option for me. If you're primarily in closed toe shoes though, I would buy the closed toe socks, or both....Closed toe being most comfortable for sleeping.Regarding the length, I'm 5'9 1/2" with an average length calf for my height, and the ML size fit well with a dash of extra length. If you're shorter than that or have a shorter calf, I would go for the normal length. If these are your first compression socks, be aware they can be tough to put on if you have any physical limitations. I believe there are devices out there that can help the process though. See the Sigvaris website.

Great stretch and material
Love the flexibility of the material. Quality is very good. Fits perfect. Costs more than other brands I've seen but I've bought these before. They're comfortable and last a long time.

Excellent pressure and texture
Excellent pressure and texture. It's about 2 inches too long so it rolls up just under my knee and cuts off my circulation in the afternoon.Make sure of the length before purchasing .
