Great leader for kingfish!
I used it for trolling in salt water. I used Alberto knot to attach the wire to my fluorocarbon leader and it worked great! I used drone spoons for king fish.

surfstrand vs shark
Hello I am a serious fisherman lets just say i do it all. I fish in north carolina king makerel, spanish, blues, sharks, and tarpon.Let me tell you this product works i hooked a 7 foot hammerhead shark no problem. Even when he went into the pylons under the pier it wasnt a problem. The true test was the 8 foot spinner shark. Which if anyone has cought one of these u know it isnt easy. They get their name from the giant jumps and spinning in mid air, and surf strand did its job.

does not kink
Having worked with a lot of stainless steel wire and hearing promises of kink resistance I was very skeptical that any metal was capable of not kinking. This wire definitely proved that wrong. I purchased the second highest weight because I wanted to give it the best chance of being kink-proof, but after testing this out I am pretty confident I could go quite a bit thinner. My test was to just tie it in a knot, pull it tight (about 50lbs force max), and untie the knot and see if it has any kinks. This one passed that test with flying colors. I think one of the factors that keeps it from kinking is that it has a limited turn radius, and normally enough force can "bypass" that turn radius with steel, but titanium is much stronger in resisting those types of forces so it never really gets put into a situation to kink. This means that the knot that you tie will never quite get as tight as you are used to with fiber or steel, the knot on a fiber wire has a significant amount of negative space. Seeing this in person is what helped me conceptualize why titanium wire is so much stronger for this purpose.

Great product
This product is very good for custom fishing wire.I found this to be the best wire product on the market. It is thin, supple, and strong.Best for their own pike leader.
