Fixed my issue
Fast shipping and worked like it should. Very good instructions. Mount the o ring in the tank first with some grease.

Only use AC Delco! The aftermarket stuff often means doing it twice. Lifetime warranty!
AC Delco quality- don't bother with generics. You do have to install an adaptor to the new style plug which is easy and well illustrated in the manual. The installation varies in difficulty depending on your vehicle... in my case it was a 2001 Express conversion van. I used an external 12v $10 fuel pump to drain the tank by connecting to the fuel filter output and pulling the gas through the filter and into gas cans. Dropping a tank with even 10 gallons in it is difficult- especially if you are working on the ground. Gas is heavy!CLEAN the gas tank! Before you disconnect the old pump retainer ring, scrub with a brush and soapy water so crud doesn't fall in the tank when you pull the pump out. You may need snap ring pliers to remove the old retainer. This pump comes with a new sealing ring, but you must supply the original or replacement retainer snap ring. If you live in an area with salted roads and rust- get a new ring before starting this job- they're cheap! If there is any hint of crud in your tank- CLEAN it. Flush completely with water until all debris is out- yes, it's ok to use water. Drain it all out and dry with compressed air or let it sit a bit. The TINY amount that may survive will not stop your vehicle from running and a single can of "drygas" with your first fill-up will make it disappear. I dried mine completely- so not necessary for me.Now- after the new pump is in and the tank is back in- CHANGE THE FILTER, TOO.Trust me on that one- I used to manage dealer service departments and I've seen new pump destroyed because people refused to spend $10 on a new filter. A partially clogged filter can be why your pump failed to begin with. It'll still run, it just cooks your pump motor because of the extra restriction.So- in summary- CLEAN your tank, get a new RETAINER RING, REPLACE your FILTER.Good luck with your repair. In mine, it made my fuel gauge stop doing the common "wandering around" that many GM trucks do.

Tired of Airtex
So far so good. Replaced an Airtex that lasted all of about 6 months before developing problems. Car would misifire on warm days, was hard to start when the engine was warm, and pump would periodically make a loud buzzing noise. New pump in and now easy starts regardless of temp, no misfire, and no issues. 5.7 GM F.I. engine.

direct replacement and fuel level sensor works accurately
replaced it in my 2002 gmc savanna 2500 5.0 auto, 25 gallonish tank all went well. internal sock a plus in my book. spray your tank strap bolts with pb blaster or equivalent and be ready for rust repair when removing and reinstalling if you live in a snow laden area like me (Boston ma). Delphi and acdelco are one in the same and I strongly recommend that you don't use any other brand for a GM fuel pump(8 years master GM A-tech experience) stay away from airtex fuel pumps unless its an old carbureted s** box or you are selling the car within a year. this pump is still running strong, daily driver 40 miles round trip to Boston 1.5 years. came with updated harness pigtail connector, weather tight butt connectors(GM approved), gaskets/O-rings (depending on application), fuel level sensor and fuel tank pressure sensor. just need to install the float arm very gently( use lube such as white lithium on clip) I will buy this again for the next breakdown on any gm vehicle. plus it cost about 1/3 the price on this amazon site

Worked but shotty manufactured workmanship.
The bottom base housing plastic would not stay secured with the upper support hold in. There also wasn't any new supply and return fuel line quick release clips provided.
