Great Resource
I use a metal detector and find relics from the 18th to the 21st century. This book is wonderful for identification, who made, when, how used.

Printing sucked
The book itself was very interesting. The printer must have been out of toner because you could only read about half of the pages.

Axes
There are so few books written about the axe but this book makes the search well worth the effort. I collect axes and so does my brother and although I purchased the book for him I'm going to keep it and buy him another copy. Thanks to the author we now have some much appreciated history on these amazing tools and the makers.

Good addition to the axe info library
I bought the book specifically to help identify an axe I have that I had never seen. Unfortunately the book didn't help but its a great addition to my reference library on axes. Definitely worth reading. I'm still looking for the ultimate reference guide to American axes and hatchets.

INFORMATIVE
YOU WON'T BE LARRY THE LUMBER-JACK AFTER READING THIS BOOK. YOU WON'T BE A COLLECTOR OF FINE AXES EITHER, BUT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HOLD A CONVERSATION WITH SOMEONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT AXES AFTER READING THIS.
