When I had to replace two table lamps because they'd gotten so wobbly due to the wear and tear of turning them on/off, I decided to try these Globe smart bulbs in my new lamps. Setup went smoothly (no hub!) once I changed my phone to the 2.4 band of my router, and I set up a schedule on my voice assistant, which also went well. You can also turn bulbs on/off and set a schedule via the Globe app if you don't have a voice assistant.One thing to bear in mind is that if someone manually turns on/off a bulb, it may lose its wi-fi connection. That only happened to me once (and I was the one who turned it off), but in that case it didn't lose the connection - maybe because I immediately knew what I'd done and turned it back on. I tested it later and turned it off for longer, and sure enough, I had to reconnect.Another thing is that if you lose wi-fi, the bulbs will continue to work as regular lightbulbs; you just lose the ability to control them via app/voice assistant until they're reconnected.I really like these smart lightbulbs for the main rooms of my house. I recommend!

The app controls how the bulb looks. This is a good bulb for people who hate warm whites. For whatever reason it’s impossible for me to find cool white bulbs it’s always soft white or warm white and those are orange and ugly and I like these bulbs because they have a true cool setting. They also have white that’s actually neutral in case you don’t like cool or warm.

I love these smart bulbs, there's only one downside that I have found so far, when switching over to color the smart bulbs are not that bright at all as I wish they were. However, the color set is perfect, especially if they were bright the same as white mode in the app. By the color mode not being all that bright, that is a big set back for me but other than that I love these smart bulbs and they work great, just remember to take your smartphone, etc out of 5G mode as the setup will not work. With these smart bulbs there's no more forgetting to turn on or off the lights, you can control them from anywhere. Once setup is complete, you can always rename your bulbs as I did both in the app and Alexa to have a more preferred name and being able to rest assure the right smart bulb is being activated.

I found the setup to be a simple process and setting up to work with my amazon echo was easy as well. Linking these with all my amazon devices was easy and very quick. I am able to control the bulbs using voice control feature! It’s great to tell alexa to turn on/off my globe lights. I can also control these bulbs through the globe app or the alexa app.The bulbs can dim from 5% to 100% and are really really bright at 100%. With these I can change from bright white to a really nice soft white which looks almost like an orange color. I can change the mood of our room depending on the activity. When our kids are doing homework we can put it at bright white, but I can change it to a soft white when me and my wife are having dinner.It’s also really nice that I can control the bulbs when I’m away from my home. I have changed the bulbs from work and it freaked my wife out! It’s a great feature to use when someone left the lights on and I can turn them off. These are LED so the energy savings are already great but this feature is helpful to reduce my bills even further.

The light bulbs are great; they are bright and have good colors. However, the app is not so great. It is hard to navigate, and the automation rarely works. For example, the lights turning off when I leave the location is successful maybe 10% of the time. If you are willing to change the lights on your phone every time manually, this is a decent budget choice. However, if you want automation, look elsewhere.

I started with these bulbs, but searching for something better, I've tried GE Cync also, and had issues with them also, Isenberg in garage door exterior sconces and have nothing but issues. Every attempt fails even in a strong Google Mesh Network.

The bulbs do turn on, but they’re constantly losing connectivity. Once you program a routine and they lose connectivity, you have to call customer service to go thru their special steps to regain it. The problem there is they don’t answer the phone. You have to leave a message and they never call back. I left 10 messages last week and never received a call back. I’m going with a reputable company.
