I dislike using strong chemicals to take care of any project
I dislike using strong chemicals to take care of any project; if there is any other way around it I always try that first. However I had a massive slug problem. They were killing the hostas and would be all over our porch and side of the house every evening. The breaking point was stepping on a slug barefoot, I had to do something more than the Sluggo I had been using. Sluggo is great and very safe except it breaks down with any water so it makes it difficult to take down the slug population and it is expensive. This product is far cheaper and stands up to a significant amount of water. I did build little "slug houses" out of old yogurt containers so my outdoor cat could not access the Deadline as it can be very harmful for animals. This did the trick for my slug population by cutting it back significantly! Within a week I had a noticeable smaller problem. I cannot reiterate enough though, make sure no wildlife can access the chemical because it can be deadly for them, and I would not recommend using this anywhere near plants you intend to eat. Side note for your vegetable garden--a spray bottle with ammonia and water works great to attack those slugs on contact and safe for your plants! It just puts some nitrogen back into the soil so you can use too much. Good luck slug hunters!!

Effective!
Ok I have to start this off by saying that I find it hilarious that in the star rating category of this review, they want a rating on flavor. While I cannot personally attest to the flavor of this product, I believe that based on its effectiveness; it's safe to say that slugs and snails find it extremely tasty! I have had no more slugs or snails eating my vegetable garden or my succulents. I have however found many empty snail shells. ☠️

This stuff really works!
🐌 Slugs can destroy your plants in no time and I have tried several different methods but none works as good as this product. What I do is make a ring of safety around each potting plant 🪴 and it will work even after rain. The reason I didn’t give this product a 5⭐️ rating is it says maybe toxic to animals. That being said I got lucky and our dogs have no interest in the smell this product but you should keep it in mind! Follow the instructions and the slugs literally melt away. This stuff works in Washington home to huge slugs and so much rain?! 🌧️

Amazingly effective!!
Lucky we live Hawai‘i, one down side though is a serious disease that is spread by slugs crawling on your fruit or veggies.. this disease can cause extreme headaches, paralysis, death and has no cure. I spotted slugs in my avocado, lemon, orange, banana, cherry, mulberry, and starfruit trees. We used sluggo for a year and still we found them nightly in the tree, on the gutters, in pots, and on the outdoor bath surfaces. We started using deadline about 2 weeks ago and still find slugs, however now they are dead or dying slugs and we find them in the day. We live in the rainforest and have found even very heavy rains don’t always cause deadline to stop working. Sluggo is worthless if it gets wet. We have been putting just a drop on a lava rock a couple feet from the tree we don’t want slugs in at an interval of 7 days. With this we find dozens of slugs dead daily. I hope that eventuallly the population diminishes and we can step back the interval :) great stuff here!

I just checked in my garden this morning and was delighted to see a hoard of dead slugs
I've been battling slugs for the first time since moving. I'm plagued with them, as they decimated every sprout in my garden. After a month of trying every natural remedy, I finally gave in and purchased this product. It arrived yesterday so I made circles of it around each plant. I just checked in my garden this morning and was delighted to see a hoard of dead slugs! The best part is that this stuff dries quickly to allow you to water your plants without washing the application away. I can finally start growing my garden again, though it's too late to start from seed. I'm just so glad my battle is finally ending!

Hallelujah! We tried a cheap beer in dollar bowls ...
Hallelujah! We tried a cheap beer in dollar bowls along with "pet safe" non-toxic bait. We bought covered beer traps to prevent rain and sprinklers from diluting the beer. Then we went to methaldehyde pellets. We have no pets and by this time we had lacey leaves on our hosta and impatiens. We had nearly daily afternoon rain and the pellets were not effective. We had no leaves on our impatiens stems. We took a chance on Deadline Force II. The afternoon rain persists in North FL but the Deadline has done its job. The impatiens have new whole leaves! Holding my breath for flowers. Thank you, Deadline.

This stuff delivers
This is very effective. So much so that you'll have to pick up the slugs every day, so that they don't stink up your property. Unlike the other pellets, the pests don't even have much time to crawl back up to shelter. I place it on pieces of bark, and when it gets wet, it starts attracting the slugs. Rain or irrigation don't wash it out or dissolve it much. A thin perimeter around a plant helps protect it from infestation.

Brown color liquid dries to grey
When I first bought this I squirted it onto the side of the house.. but the color is dark brown.. oops! I thought it might be a clear liquid for some reason. It looks like chocolate syrup. After about a day it dries to a grey color.Whenever I see snails I like to use this along with iron snail pellets and sulfur snail pellets. I buy several bulk quantity bags and do the entire garden all at once -- I like to wipe out the entire population like a massive scorched earth nuclear winter, rather than just wiping out smaller sections and letting them crawl back from surrounding areas. So far this method works great, much better than a surgical strike.
