Granddaughter loved this story.
This is a delightful story. I have read and reread it to my granddaughter countless times. We look forward to reading other books from this series.

Wonderful book
One of my great grand children’s name is Lily, so the girls listened intently to the whole book.

Have you bought it yet? Got a kid? Gotta buy this book.
This is a little gem we found on Instagram and couldn’t be more happy with our purchase. We also have the free e-copy offered by the authors during early pandemic days. The hardback is a MUST though. Our 6 year old absolutely loves reading Lily Huckleberry’s adventures. This book is absolutely wonderful for little people who love travel, adventure, culture, and food. It actually makes an interesting read for some grown ups too. The language is easy and we love how some local words are illustrated with pronunciation. The illustrations are unique and engaging. The hard bound book is very well made. The paper and print quality is top class. I see myself gifting this book to all the little readers around me.PS : We also bought the Japan Book. Same review :)

Absolutely loved- and a great gift idea!! 🤎🙏🏽
This book is so adorable!!!! We love reading about adventures all over the world and I was so excited to see Scandinavia! My family is Scandinavian, so my kids got to learn about their ancestry even more in a fun and creative way! We followed up in the back with the “did you know” & more details by searching similar YouTube videos and checking out their inspiration (like trolltunga, Norway) & related it to our most recent 10 mile hike! All around, it was just such a great way for the kids to learn and enjoy Lily’s adventures - and inspired dreams of our own!!

Exciting, adventure, beautiful, and kids can't take their eyes or ears off of it
This book keeps my kids attention from start to finish. They are involved in the reading and on the edge of their seats each time. The pictures are gorgeous!!! The illustration is inspired by real buildings and sights in Scandinavia. There is education wrapped up into this magical adventure of a story as well as a moral lesson of including everyone. This has been our favorite book for a while and I only see it getting replaced by the new Lily book when she goes to Japan. As for the inappropriate wording mentioned in another review, just for context, it refers to the Vikings who get excluded from the Midsummer festival because of their bad actions in the past. Lily helps them get a second chance and part of that is them saying they won't do .......... Its history and it's factual.

Loved going on this fun educational adventure!
I got this for my grandkids (ages 4 and 6) to help them learn about where their ancestors came from. They loved it and loved learning about Scandinavia. This book helped them learn about the world, human emotions (belly wobbles and collywobbles) and overcoming them, and to look forward to the adventures each day brings. It also teaches them to forgive past wrongs-that people shouldn't be judged as a group and to look for the good in people. While my initial plan was for them to learn about their Scandinavian roots but now want to learn about other parts of the world- Japan here we come! Hope there many more books coming in this series!

The Best New Series of Books
I found this series of books when I was looking for a gift for my 8 year old granddaughter. I have years of experience in children's literature. This series is one of the best I have seen in a long time. The books contain adventure, humor, mystery, and great artwork. It teaches children in such an engaging manner. It makes acquiring new knowledge about our world fun. I think these books would make an excellent source for children's book clubs.

Good book.
My five year old granddaughter liked the book. I just thought it was good, but not outstanding. We read so many books, that my standards are very high. It’s a good fun way for a young child to learn about the Scandinavian countries.
