High Quality MADE IN USA
If you want high quality long lasting towels and wash cloths Made in the USA 1888 Mills are worth the extra money I waited to make this review until I had washed them at least 100 times and they are still like new amazing and well worth it

Cannot dry hair
Wow! What a pair of beautiful towels. These are extremely soft, heavy, very high quality towels, let's get that straight.So if you are looking for a tremendous looking and feeling towel to decorate your towel rack, this is it.However, this towel is terrible at actually drying. You are basically just smearing the water on your body. And it will not dry your hair. It wont pull it out, because it is so smooth, but it wont dry it.Extra note: They come packaged in those super cheap Chinese looking plastic bags, so no matter how good they actually are, they look like typical cheap Chinese garbage. (They are not, they just look that way in the bag) Anyway, wrap a bow around it or something, anything other than the Chinese plastic bag presentation.

Soft towel
This is my last set of towels as I am old. I was so happy to find one with organic cotton (grown in USA I think) and made in GA where I was living. I have only washed the towel once and was so disappointed to see the end come unstitched. I don't have access to a sewing machine and money is tight but I might have to take it to get stitched. I haven't contacted the company yet but I will, this should not have happened. Other than that I love the color (pale green) and it is soft and absorbent.

plush, soft, cozy, large, and excellent water absorbency
Update: I have been using these towels for well over two years now. They have stood the test of time!! Yes, I use them daily and wash them regularly. They even withstand the 'abuse' I give them of using them draped over my head to steam my face. I pour boiling water into a large stock pot then drape the towel over my head to steam. Unfortunately, I do this pretty regularly as well (unfortunate because I need to do it to calm migraines or take the edge off at the very least). I would never do this with any other towel at this point. I love that it is organic and no off gassing or pesticides etc... so when I'm breathing steam in this is really important to me! -End of update-I adore these towels. Everything you want in a towel: plush, soft, cozy, large, and excellent water absorbency. Cotton is the most pesticide laden crop that exists, so it is great to find such a wonderful towel made with organic cotton at a reasonable price. I have had them for 11 months and they are holding up wonderfully. I highly recommend these towels.

WONDERFUL especially for the $$ and are MADE in the USA!!
I'm a towel and washcloth snob. An EXCELLENT towel set has been my luxury to myself all my life. Now I'm retired and my towels and washcloths are as tired and worn out as I am. Given Amazon's product policy and free shipping and MADE IN THE USA, I decided to give these 1888 Mills washcloths (and towels) a go. I LOVE THEM! Washed them first and then used them. Fluffy soft and good looking. Will be giving these as gifts from now on. THANK YOU 1888 Mills and Amzon! ONE COMPLAINT - Amazon - these came with a set of two towels in a box that is so oversized, I wept. What a waste. Please pare down the shipping packaging for this product. Three layers of plastic bubbles was NOT necessary. Think of the postage you'll save.

This Is What A Towel Should Be
This is the only brand of hand/bath towel I can find that is still made in the USA and what a difference! They may not be as soft as the ubiquitous Chinese made junk but they are durable, tightly woven, heavy and substantial. During my childhood in the 1960’s all towels in this country were made like this and it was like recovering a lost gem to have found them.

Not as absorbent as their larger towels
In another review, someone mentioned that these towels are not up to the 1888 Mills standard because they're from a different source, and they're right. I ordered these along with full-sized bath towels, and the bath towels are super absorbent. The hand towels are not. I ordered a couple of 2-packs, and even those two packs looked different from one another. I don't use fabric softener on them, but they still don't absorb well.

Over time it becomes ordinary
Over time, from washing, it has developed a bit of tightening where the seams are, so the ends look a little ruffled. For the price I figured this wouldn't happen, but over time it really does hold up like a normal towel. Not particularly soft after a few months. Still pretty absorbent though.

These are very soft absorbent hand towels.
These towels are a little more expensive than some others but they are softer and more absorbent than others and really are brilliant white. I recommend these towels.
