Works on a 2000 Mustang V6
Works to bypass the amp that is hidden below the stock factory head units. One harness plugs into the power connector and the other connects to the speaker harness cable that you will have to pull off the back of the secret amp. The amp is bolted to the center console and there is a speaker harness plugged into the back of it. The only way to get directly to your speakers is to unplug the harness and couple onto it with the black plug shown in the picture. Then you just match the accurately color coded wires to your aftermarket stereos speaker leads. So, one harness has your front and rears and the other has your power. Worked perfectly. There's another kit with RCA's that you would buy only use if you want to keep using the hidden factory amp. Which isnt a bad thing, necessarily. I think I had a more power before I switched but my aftermarket unit is low power. Hope this all makes sense. I had some trouble figuring out that there was still another amp in the circuit even after I removed both visible head units in my 2000 Mustang V6 (standard audio package, non Mach)

I only used half the kit...
Worked out great. I believe I used this to bypass an amp on an 03 Expedition with the Mach sound system. It had an aftermarket stereo which blew the stock amp and created a constant draw on the battery. Drove fine but leave it parked overnight and dead battery by morning. Installed the bypass and everything worked great and no more battery draw

Don't have to hack up factory wiring
Installed in my 2000 mustang, once you remove the factory amp, located on the transmission tunnel, it's an easy install. Love not cutting any wires, can easily put back factory system if I ever wanted to, don't know why I would but maybe someday I will want to.

Used on a 1993 Ford Mustang LX Convertible.
If you have premium sound in mustang, meaning you have door speakers, then you need this to bypass the amp. Lookup the guide on the thunderbird forum. I have installed some photos from my install. Super easy to install, just match the wires and connect the wires.

Works. 2000 mustang converable. Non Mach system.
Worked for me. 2000 mustang converable. Amp is under radio. Top of transmission tunnel. One plug goes behind radio. One from that amp. That's it.

It is what it was supposed to be.
I used it for my 2000 mustang with a split radio/cd player setup, works great. I bought a different amp to replace the stock one too, which I think was a great idea.
