IKEA Skänka 6-Piece Cookware Set, Gray

I was in desperate need of cookware. I had my heart set on Rachel Ray cookware (I admit, it was mostly about looks). But after reading horrible reviews, it was back to the search again. I then decided on Martha Stewart cookware, which was on sale at Macy's. It had better reviews, but still had some that turned me off. That's when I remember Ikea, and decided to search for reviews on their cookware. I decided to write this review, because it was very hard to find one. But I did, and the one I found, sold me on it. The lady described them as virtually indestructible! And explaine how she had left the stove on for ever and whatever was cooking on the pan burnt completely, however the pan didn't suffer any damage. Well, that did it for me. I went and got them and the wok! Which is the best thing I ever bought! And it comes with beautiful glass lid which you can use with the 11" frying pan. Well, she was right. I can not believe such inexpensive cookware is so freaking good! I cook my eggs (and other things) without a hint of oil, and they cook perfectly and slide right off. Nothing sticks to these pans. And they have safe non toxic coating, for what I have read. Which was important for me, as I am not that great at cooking with stainless steel. They have more pieces you can add as you go, which I'm going to do, as a matter of fact tomorrow. Now, a few things to consider. Buy this at the store, it is half the price it is here (no joke). Buy the plastic utensils they sell and use those only with this cookware. It will last forever. If you use metal, It won't last as long, because as with any other coated cookware, you will damage the coating. I have read about Ikea items, and they are made of non toxic materials and are of excellent quality. Buy this set, I promise you won't be disappointed. Totally worth it, specially if you buy it at the store. But let me tell you, even if I didn't have access to an Ikea store, I would still buy it at twice the price. I don't think I will ever buy cookware from anyone else. It is swiss quality at its best!
