This film works effectively as I expected it would. As long as you follow instructions, and use a good ruler and every sharp craft knife, on a suitable flat surface, it cuts beautifully. Not all that hard to install. I used this dark film for a very hot south facing kitchen window.

This item was relatively easy to put on and does block some of the heat from the sun, its not perfect but good enough.Also my main reason for purchasing item was so that fellow apartment people could not see straight into my bedroom. (I am on bottom floor by front entrance) It does block out the majority of view but you can still see a bit of room.Overall a decent purchase for the price.

This was much easier to use than other films I’ve tried. It went on smoothly, air bubbles came out with no trouble, and it hasn’t peeled up at the edges even though it’s in direct sunlight all day. It’s also great at blocking heat. I’m ordering more for other rooms of the house.

Product came well packaged, in a timely matter and fairly, as advertised. If you are looking for a more permanent solution, I would suggest purchasing the adhesive spray for the film to stick better. If this is only temporary, such as in my case, I live in an apartment and it is important to make sure to have your measurements correct otherwise you will come across peeling corners, this will only happen if you have to cut off pieces to cover up the naked areas and without the adhesive spray.I noticed that you will get bubbles, regardless of using the squeegee and it doesn’t bother my OCD as much since it’s temporary but if this is a more permanent option for you then keep that in mind.Overall the product does block only 85-95% of uv rays which makes a ton of difference because Texas heat is no joke guys!I would recommend this product for a temporary solution as opposed to a permanent one but as this can be a one person task, it doesn’t hurt to have some assistance.

The real hot rooms we put it on has decreased in temperature. You can really feel the decrease in temperatures I am sure it is decreasing the AC costs from struggling in those rooms. Can’t notice it from inside or out side. We did three rooms and the garage. Takes some time to put up but it’s not hard just a little time consuming if you have a lot of window panes.

Great product but not easy to install due to the thickness of the film. Blocks sunlight as promised but plan on having a carpenters square available as you will need to fit the film to the window before application. Applying and then trimming is not easy...Updating my review...this is an impossible product to install. I got my carpenters square to measure and cut the film, but it keeps trying roll up while you are measuring. You will need someone to help you to measure and cut. And if you are like me, where you don't have anyone around to help....it just can't be done.I have put in this type of film before on french doors, but it was a different product and was not this difficult to work with. Going to go back to that product and this is going in the trash. It's just not worth the hassle!

These are hard to install, all the cling window covers are. Not getting around that, definitely spend the ten dollars and buy a kit to go with.I'd give this a 5 star review if it didn't scratch up so bad during installation. I have a felted edge scraper and it still ruins the surface.We just needed it for the UV protection, which helped by 5 to 10 degrees at least. I do really like the reflective mirror look, it works really well. Now my spouse stops closing the curtains for privacy during the day.I'd still buy it again. It's a good price compared to other products of similar quality.

I love the privacy I get during the day. It doesn't work at night but that is OK, I always close the curtains at night. Was easy to apply. Make sure you have a sharp cutting tool, or it could tear. I would buy again. SUper simple - seems how my hubby did all the work. YES!!!
