ANTOPANTENNA Smart Boost Amplifier Dual Outputs for Any Non-Amplified TV Antenna, SBS-602B Amplifier

I'm in a metro area, was only pulling in about 40 channels and even some of the major stations were not steady, after installing and with setting the gain at 3/4, getting over 60 now and the major networks are rock solid.

The product did not change the quality of reception from my newly purchased antennae. I have returned the product because it simply does not work.

The item was easy to set up. The power connection is wobbly and can easily go off.

UPDATE (Aug2023) It has been in service (mounted in my attic) for over 3 1/2 yrs and has been very effective -when equipped with a separate filter ahead of this amplifier. Overall, I'm very happy with it, giving us solid viewing on a dozen or so channels that we would not receive without it.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The adjustable gain is great, filter not quite effective. We have relatively strong signals, but interference from cell towers increased this year. A separate filter was able to reduce the interference (filtering signals above 700 Mhz), but combined with splitters, connections, etc., the signal reduction was too great.The Antop amp/filter alone didn’t work so well either. The internal filter was not sufficient and the amp simply increased both noise and signal. Adding an inline filter at the antenna lead-in, followed by the Antop amp, and then the splitters solved the problem. With the amp at about 60% or so, we now feed 6 wallplates and have great reception at each, playing as many as 4 at once.

went from 20 channels to over 50 works good.

We live about 10 miles from most of the broadcast TV channel antennas in our area. We had been experiencing trouble with one weaker broadcast antenna signal being received. This device has fixed the problem! Now this channel comes in just as well as the other. Very happy!

Couldn't pick up any additional channels

No matter where in town we have lived, we cannot get a reliable digital signal. The same equipment used elsewhere gives great results. Analysis shows poor s/n ratio and marginal signal over all channels that do not make industry standard specs. You would think someone could get a handle on this (always lived 3 to 10 miles from all antenna sites) which is why everyone subscribes to cable. This amp makes absolutely no difference to the signal, regardless of setting. Guess no one cares because there is no money in it. I used to build analog tv equipment back in the day. Digital tv tech sucks.
