I enjoyed this quite a bit more than I expected.
Such an interesting start to this tale. Well big sister certainly has the boing happening. That succubus though, what a brat. Well, I suspect things are going to get a lot more interesting (and dangerous) starting next volume. Art, very nice. The girls are all gorgeous. The backgrounds are decent. Dialogue, well, given the subject matter, I found it to be more palatable than I expected. As a Southern Baptist, I worried this series might be super anti-Christian (like Gabriel Dropout), but it just focuses on the demons & the protagonists. So, I don't feel bothered in any way, like I did with the aforementioned Gabriel Dropout. Characters, interesting, intriguing, entertaining, & some of the girls, totally adorable.

My first Manga!!!
Well, I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this manga. Aside from being one who would rather listen to a book being read then to actually read the book myself. I started reading it and got hooked. This is also my first manga purchase. So when i opened it i was quite surprised. Getting used to the left to right style of the book it self and reading/ following along with the right to left style of the culture (i found) to be relatively easy. Had a few bumps along the way but is was still enjoyable. As a first timer, again, I enjoyed it good storyline, amazing illustrations, and a disclaimer there are a few "suggestive" seens and conversation topis. So, i would say 15+. But definitely recommend this. Looking forward to vol. 2 of the series.

It has potential but a few things really turned me off
The Testament of sister new Devil definitely showed a lot of potential but there were a few things in the story that turn me off right off the bat. This is going to be your standard story where the protagonist feels like he's not important and he lives a boring life when all of a sudden a beautiful woman takes interest in him and shows him he's important. Well technically two beautiful women but one of them looks like a little girl. That right there is my first issue with the manga. I don't appreciate the incredibly sexualized way that they portray Maria who has the body of an 11 or 12 year old girl. You'll find that she's something more than just a little girl but it still feels a little creepy especially when you find out she's a big time voyeur. My other issue with the manga is other than Mio and Maria being hot it didn't feel like they brought anything helpful to Basara. Really they're just taking advantage of him. I hope my opinion on that changes as more volumes release but for now it is something that bugged me throughout the story.Something that I did really love about this man that though was how basara highly surprised me. I won't spoil the surprise for you but let's just say he's much more than just a simple boring boy. It was moments like that that held my attention to the manga despite the issues I had with it and will keep me coming back for future volumes.Overall I gave this manga four stars. That might seem like a lot considering the issues I had but the art was phenomenal, the writing really wasn't bad, there were even a few jokes that got me laughing out loud, and the surprises felt fresh and original.Warning: If it is not clear from the above review this is an adult manga with nudity and heavy sexual content. 16+

A Promising Start
I was expecting another generic fantasy fanservice series, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did! The art is FANTASTIC, and the story wasn't nearly as bland as I feared it would be. This first volume was a great blend of actual plot and... "plot", if you know what I mean. I'm definitely interested in reading more, and plan on buying the next volume to see what happens next.My book didn't take too long to get here, and it was in very good condition.

Love it
I rated this well because it has my favorite kind of story. Male protagonist, step sister love, Loli, funny moments, and great illustrations. Looking forward to volume 2. Great manga while deployed. If this was a show I would watch it over and over.

Best harem ever
If you want a harem story where the male lead isn't some 90 lb weakling pervert, then this is the series for you.

Good, if not unnecessarily perverted
The story centers around a seemingly normal young man and his single father, who one day announces his remarriage to his son. Expectedly, the first meeting with the young man's new sisters, since his new mother is "away on business," goes fairly wrong, to which he just makes things worse.Later, we find out that the sisters are in fact the heir to a powerful demon Lord's powers and her Succubus guardian. They try and force the young man into submission only to find out that he is part of a clan of heroes, outcast with his father because of his powers. They fight, the girls leave, he chases and saves them, then they all return, only to have a mysterious and power hungry figure following them and scheming.Overall, I give this title a 3/5 stars. The story is entertaining, but the use of incestuous ecchi and obvious lust centric nature of the guardian seems to forcefully progress the story. Not bad, if not unnecessarily perverted.

Loved it.
When I started this volume I had already begun watching the anime and decided to give the story a try. While the anime is good I feel like reading the story this way is in a way. More rewarding. I can't wait to read the next volume.

A mystical/fantastical story with a situational humor
The Testament of Sister New Devil Vol. 1 is one hilarious manga. It is a mystical/fantastical story with a situational and rather raunchy humor that blends in very well. The balance has been kept intact to give you both humor and story at the right amount at the right time. None of the two try to over power the other. They just simply co-exist. Do not read or open it in front of anyone you're not comfortable having around when such material is in the vicinity and you'll be good.

Buen producto

I am actually quite disappointed. At least the artwork was very well done
It started out feeling kind of incestish, but there's certainly a story to be told in this universe. Guess I'll stay tuned for now. It has a vibe similar to High School DxD, but with the action and ecchi watered down to rather tame levels. As an ecchi fan myself, I am actually quite disappointed. At least the artwork was very well done. 7 Seas has set the bar really high with Monster Musume as far as I know their translation can go, so in that regard, they really screwed the pooch here. I know for a fact they can do better. That clever wit I expected from a 7 seas title was lacking here. I mean by no means was it bad. I was just personally disappointed comparing New Devil to previous books I read.
