A little surprised!
I figured this would be no where near the quality of the Hoodman I own. I was pleasantly surprised! The diopter is always the biggest problem in cheaply made viewfinders but this one worked great. Easily adjusted to my eyes and my friend's eyes as well. Works fantastic for night and astrophotography which is what I purchased it for. An added plus is the strap. It not only holds the viewfinder around your neck but also serves as a support holder for the viewfinder to be secured to the back of your camera over the live view screen! This simple feature makes it possible to attach the viewfinder to the back of your camera without any extra parts so you can look through the live view screen without having to hold the viewfinder with one hand. It works quite well and has proven to be a valuable asset in my night and astrophotography shots. It is less expensive than the Hoodman Loupe and at 2X magnification, 2X isn't to much magnification and the view is very bright and sharp. The added bonus is the dual purpose strap.

Essential for Eyeglass Wearers
I find it hard to look at Live View on my Canon 6D with bifocals at night, and this viewer allows me to use the camera without my glasses. This View Finder is very sturdy, the diopter adjustment is a bit hard to get an exact focus, so it is OK for landscape, but I wouldn't depend on it for macrophotography or focus where there is a shallow depth of field. Using autofocus and then looking at the diopter, there was wide latitude in getting a well focused image. Perfect for composition, tho. The cord easily keep the View Finder in place over the LED screen, or around your neck. I don't care that it doesn't collapse, as it isn't that big that I can't find space in camera bag. Minus one star for the plastic lens which is adequate but not high quality.

Good and simple solution
This is an excellent means to view your LCD screen in bright daylight, something I need for doing long exposures through 10 or 16 stop ND filters, when the liveview is rather dim, because I am looking at the pre-shot composition at very high ISO. Even turning the LCD brightness all the way up is often not enough to focus and see details in bright sunlight. This product helps with that. It is simple, easy to use, I like the lanyard to have it hang around your neck and it is fairly light weight. Two things to be improved, I believe it could be thinner and collapsible to take up less space in your bag and it could be much less heavily overpriced. It's a piece of rubber with a diopter (which works well), not much material to it.

Recommended...works as intended.
Works great for my needs. Some have said that the clarity falls off a little at perimeter edges (and it does) but with just a slight readjustment of the finder I have not found that to be a problem for photographic purposes. My eyesight is not as good as it used to be and this give me that extra assurance on the clarity of what I am seeing. I also bought another extender and the other one can be attached to the camera but works about the same. Yes...a bit on the expensive side but if you need it you need it. Look at the various options available and decide which one give you the price value you need and will work best with your camera.

Decent deal for what it is
I was a bit disappointed with the mounting method which isn't clear in the product pictures. You take this string and wrap it around your camera. I thought it was a bit tacky and cheap. However, I did compare it to the hoodman, which uses a similar method. This struck me as very difficult to take off or put on the camera in a rush.In all, this is a good deal for what it is. It has a diopter adjustment and the hood keeps it shape. I decided that this didn't give me the professional appearance I was expecting, so I chose to buy a LCD monitor and magic arm.

Necessary for the M100
Excellent but expensive. I bought the Used- Like New from SHINTANGISM. It is just like new and less expensive. But it is still expensive for what it is. It works great and is necessary for the Canon EOS M100. Great magnification and clarity and the diopter adjustment is great.

Works great on my Canon G3X
Works great. I wear glasses and had difficulty seeing the entire screen, so I cut back the rubber around the eye piece. I also mounted two screws to the bottom side so that they stick out. When mounting the device I slide the string over the screws. This makes the mounting easier by not having to stretch the strap over the eye peace and it puts the excess string on the bottom, out of the way. The added screws do make it a bit harder putting the device in the storage pouch.

A must for those who wear glasses
I had borrowed one of these before and I loved it. If you are a photographer that wears glasses and you shoot with your glasses off, then this item is for you. I know how hard it is to see these small view finders, and it is a pain to constantly flip your glasses up and down to shoot then look at what you shot. Use the supplied lanyard to secure the view finder to your camera to ease your shooting pleasures. Remember to focus your view finder. Have fun!

Gute Sehhilfe

Poor user experience
I bought this item as my camera LCD screen can't increase font sizes and it is difficult to see the screen menus with glasses. While this kit does increase the font sizes so that I can clearly see the screen with glasses on, it is actually very fiddly to use in real life.It comes with a lace using which you can fit the kit tightly with the camera. But this lace is very fiddly to use. Either the kit remains loose, meaning you have to hold tightly both camera and this kit or you can't take the kit off the camera without untying. Some similar viewfinders come with a frame which attaches to LCD boundary permanently and the kit fits there on top. The advantage is that you can easily take the view finder on or of without much faff.As a viewfinder it is great, but given it is an expensive piece of kit, the overall user experience is poor while using it.

It seems to be a good option for those that don't want to spend near ...
Bought to help me check the exposure of my photos in strong daylight. It's a bit too big for the 3.0" screen on my Nikon D90, but this doesn't seem to effect its use too badly. The eye cup at the other end isn't really shaped to fit, so light can get in the side when it is pressed to your face. I use a finger to cover the gap which works quite well. As I only place it against the camera to check a photo before taking it off, this isn't much of a problem for me. If you are leaving it attached for video work and need both hands to operate the camera it might be more of a problem. The viewfinder seems solidly built and the focusing works well without being loose. I'm not sure how long the rubbery edge that sits against the screen will last but only time will tell on that.It seems to be a good option for those that don't want to spend near £100 for something similar. Also, the pouch that comes with the viewfinder initially seems quite cheap but it does make it very easy to slip the viewfinder in and out of a camera bag without catching on anything.
