Nice unit- 7.5 KW
Handling had shaken the control transformer and its power wires lose inside, nothing else damaged. Remounted and connected wires. Unit works great! Actively using this unit to melt brass for investment casting...any questions , anyone can email me....

Not even close to 15 kW
We dialed it up to max, it draws 30 amps. 30 x 240 volts = 7200 watts. Not 15,000 watts as advertised. With the efficiencies considered the coil is probably only getting 5000 watts. I would advertise it as a 5 kW heater if I was selling it. It does heat and it will do the job we bought it to do. But we did enough research on this thing to fully expect the low output. Telling when the specs do not show an input current but they do show a wire cross sectional area which equates to 10 gauge which equates to 30 amps. As expected. It does heat, and we like the different power levels for heat and hold cycles. Be prepared to do a bunch of plumbing. Two water lines in and three out. One of the two in has a pressure switch on it which I think failed on ours. We had the correct pressure but it threw an alarm. If you unplug the wire thankfully the alarm goes away. Easier than shorting the input or doing some other thing for an analog input. But it does the job we bought it to do so no complaints there. For $500 is IS a good value. Just buyer beware. This is not a plug and play unit. I have a sump pump in a bucket of water for my cooling system and it seems to be taking care of the load just fine. It has a pressure sensor, not a flow sensor, so you need to make sure you are giving it at least 30 psi. So some output restriction may be needed. I am surprised that Amazon does not care about the terribly misleading power specification...

Item didn't work, seller stalled and made us miss return deadline...Finally got a refund!
UPDATE, 4/20/22: Ok, this purchase was a minor nightmare but now it's over. I've left my original one-star review below but I've now changed to 3 stars and here's the explanation: The seller tells me that we were dealing with an employee the entire time up until the last few message exchanges and that this employee has been fired. While this may or may not be true, it doesn't matter. Here's my advice if you want to buy this unit: Try it out RIGHT AWAY. From what I've read and from what I've found with this unit and the other unit I bought from another vendor to replace it, the cooling water flow is very important. I tried 3 different pumps and even hooked it to the water faucet in the sink and found that apparently there's a pressure sensor and not a flow sensor. How could I tell? When I turned the faucet down to the point where my new machine would give the "water lack" alarm, putting my thumb over the outlet hose would stop the alarm. With this unit nothing worked so I assumed it was a bad pressure sensor. If the unit is bad and you note it immediately with the seller, then you'll have Amazon on your side to help you get a refund. In my case, after going back and forth with the seller over several weeks, I filed an A to Z claim. It got rejected because I was past the return date and I appealed. Before Amazon even got to the appeal the seller gave me a return address to ship the unit to so I abandoned the appeal. But just yesterday I had to file an A to Z claim AGAIN because it had been over 30 days since the seller received our returned item and was giving us the runaround (AGAIN), and Amazon has already granted us a refund. I initially bought this unit because it was $300 cheaper than units from other sellers that looked nearly identical. They all DO seem identical, with the exception of some having 2 hose connections on the back and some having 5. I much prefer the 2, but after the initial hookup it's not an issue. But that $300 savings is the definition of "false economy", as the opportunity costs of NOT having a working unit were far greater than $300. I suspect the working unit I have now could have easily had a bad pressure sensor as well, but now I know (and YOU know), that the best course of action is to return it IMMEDIATELY if it's bad. If you want to save $300 and take a bit more time hooking up 5 hoses instead of 3 then this machine should be a fine choice, assuming the caveats above are noted.***************************************************************Original review:Based on other reviews I had reasonable hopes for this being a good product, but unfortunately I was mistaken. As life sometimes gets in the way, it took some weeks until we could actually try out the machine, only to find out it wouldn't work. It gave us a "water lack" alarm and though we'd bought a water pump that was within the specs given in the manual, we decided that maybe a bigger pump would do the trick. It didn't, and neither did an even bigger pump. So we contacted the seller, only to have them ask a bunch of questions whose answers had already been made very clear in our initial contact with them. They asked for pictures to have their "specialist" look at, and took more than a week to come back with more questions that had already been answered. After awhile it became clear that all the seemingly inane questions were a stall tactic, and it worked...we missed the deadline to return the machine. I filed a complaint with Amazon to apparently no avail. So if you want to gamble with around $900 and a lot of lost time and effort, by all means bet on this machine. Otherwise, buy a different one and be prepared to send it back THE DAY you find out it doesn't work.
