Unjust Beheading of a Royal....
This biography of Lady Jane is quite well documented... plus being a superb read....However, as one of her successors I take great umbrage that this author concurred with Lady Jane as to her culpability.... Lady Jane wasn't schooled in the rule of law so how in the world would she know anything regarding what was treasonous behavior? King Edward VI took the future Papist, Bloody Queen Mary Tudor and the future Queen Elizabeth I out of the royal line of succession... as they were adjudged illegitimate due to the annulment of Queen Ann Bolyn's marriage to King Henry VIII.To read the complete story please procure this fascinating read on Amazon... you shall not regret it... i.e., IMHO....Note bene: We plan upon beseeching the Crown to countenance a long sought after memorial for Lady Jane at Westminster Abbey... rather than just the place of her execution... i.e., at The Tower of London....

Quite pleased with the condition
As far as the condition of the book, the book did have some wear to it, but it was not falling apart, and even more so, it was in pretty good shape. This is a very educational book about the history and politics of the 15th century times. Although this book was about Lady Jane Grey, almost 2/3 of the book is really about the government of the time; King Henry the VIII and his son Edward, Jane's family, and other things, as the author said, were necessary to set the setting for Lady Jane. It was very heavily packed with historical information not about Lady Jane, but the story of Lady Jane was one that was very inspiring and convicting. Being a young woman, she was mature beyond her years.Overall, this book gives great justice to the setting that surrounded Lady Jane and to the exemplary figure that Lady Jane was.

Wonderful book!
I very much enjoyed this book! Felt like I got to know this wonderful young lady. I appreciated that the author captured Janeโs uncompromising faith in the truth of Godโs Word.

Educational book
Book is in quite good condition. I was really hoping for a fiction story, based on her life. This reads a little more text book. But it will be informative. This may take me a bit but I will try to make it through.

Not an easy read, but worth the effort.
I enjoyed reading about Lady Jane Grey. Unfortunately, Faith Cook had to explain all the history & intrigue surrounding her. Therefore I read it at a much slower pace. I enjoyed most of Faith Cooks writing and believe few could have done a better job.I loaned the book to several ladies and one gentleman in our church who read it in preparation to attending a play about Lady Jane Grey. The one who read it the quickest happens to be English, so I will assume the rest of us suffer from a lack of knowledge of English history.

Fascinating story of a misunderstood queen in British history.
A lot of English history, especially for a novice, but well incorporated into the story. Once I understood the background and the relationships of the characters, I was eager to continue reading about this amazing, but little understood young martyr of British royalty. The family tree given at the back of the book was very helpful. I found the book fascinating! One thing i surmised from this story is that man's human nature of greed and lust for power never changes. People of faith will find this book encouraging.

Excellent!
This book was so fascinating that I couldn't put it down. I didn't know too much about British history and I thought that Lady Jane Grey would be interesting to read about and so it was. Excellent book. Lots of action, lots of political intrigue.

Nine-day Queen of England
Few, perhaps, know much about Lady Jane Grey of Bradgate, Leicestershire. I have been interested in her as I grew up close to Bradgate Park and the ruins of her home. She was the (disputed) Queen of England for nine days until executed in the Tower of London at the tender age of seventeen (yes, seventeen). A tool of ambitious and unscrupulous relatives she was a devout Protestant who served her God faithfully. Faith Cook, obviously in tune with her subject, offers an attractive and accessible portrait of this godly young woman. Unfortunately, the production of the book is not up to the standard of the dust jacket. It could have been improved by the use of colour photographs of her childhood home, rather than the dull monochrome ones in the book. This is a pity because it could put off some who would otherwise read it and benefit from it.

Briliant
Faith Cooks writings are so lively and ful of good interesting facts . Her books have been my daily food for a number of years now. No other writer captivates my spiritual hunger as she surely does.

Very well written
Really enjoyed this book. It enabled me to distinguish between the different characters in a quite complicated plot and the beauty of Janeโs Christian faith shone throughout.

Very good introduction to Lady Jane Grey whom I have always ...
Very good introduction to Lady Jane Grey whom I have always considered an innocent caught up in her relatives obsession with power and shamefully used as a pawn in the political game. This book paints a young woman of principle and piety, in an age of rapacious abuse of power
