Razer TRON Gaming Mouse

i use a fingertip grip, and the 2 things hardest to find for my grip are (1) very lightweight and (2) very short (so it doesn't touch my palm). the razer tron mouse gets a lot of things right for me. it is short (about 7mm shorter than the next-shortest razer mouse), lightweight, and has buttons on both sides. the 5600 dpi laser is excellent. the mouse is well-designed, well-built, and a pleasure to use.it makes a sound when you startup and shutdown your computer. sounds cheesy, i know, but i kinda like it. the lighting scheme is modest, not too bright, and complements the design, which is reminiscent of 2- and 4-wheel vehicles from the new TRON movie.i have just a couple things i would have done different with this mouse:1. the mouse wheel seems too far back in the body. it forces my grip backwards on the mouse. if it were further forward, the buttons would not require as much force to press.2. the cutouts for the buttons on the side are unique and work well, making it easier to use the side buttons than on any other mouse i've used. however, they also make it so there is no perfect place for my fingers to grip the side of the mouse.still, i'm giving this mouse 5 stars because it is closer to my ideal mouse than anything else i've found.

This is my first time ever buying a gaming mouse, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm certainly not disappointed with it! First off, I love Tron, and this mouse is so cool looking. I'll find myself entranced by the lights every now and then. The sensitivity levels are amazing. I can't play on the highest level, but being able to respond so quickly in video games is nice. It's light, smooth, and to the tiniest slide. The size is also very nice since I have a claw-grip when using the mouse. I haven't had any issues with it (be sure to download the driver from razer's website!) and it runs just fine. The cord is very durable and flexible, so that's a plus too.To put it simply, if you can find this mouse for less than the retail price, grab it! You won't be disappointed. Unless you don't like Tron, but that's a different issue :P

This is my second time buying this mouse. It works great while being stylish. You can change the sensitivity on the fly, program macros, and even manage profiles for different games with the downloadable software. It also lights up and leaves a light trail on my Tron Mousepad. For picky buyers, I would caution you of the design of the mouse as it may not be comfortable for some hands. I would have given it 5 Stars but my first Razer Tron Mouse started double clicking with one click (like other Razer Mice) which was very annoying. If you buy any Razer mouse I would recommend a squaretrade warranty to keep you covered.

This mouse came in its original packaging. Very great. In the box came a cool thin blue plastic casing that's nice to have, but I have no idea what to do with it! The mouse is quite small compared to my Razer Diamondback. That's nice because I bought it for my laptop. It lights up in a nice blue light. The mouse wheel is ridged in the middle. One feature that I dislike is that the 2 buttons on the right side of the mouse changes the mouse sensitivity which is nice, but quite confusing because my Diamondback had those designated as Page Up and Page Down. Just a note there. Really sleek, smooth feeling! It also makes a nice Schoooooom sound as you start up your computer. It might start to get annoying though?

This one is all about looks. It's mainly a collectors item. If you want a gaming mouse, lose the idea that this is it.First of all, the way it's designed, you can't grip the mouse without clicking any of the side buttons. Also the shape in general is actually quite sharp and doesn't work with prolonged usage.Secondly, this mouse has the life span of about 3-6 months before it starts to wig out before it dies. Mine, the buttons started to double click, and the tracking laser started skipping around a lot. Screen wide skips mind you. It would flit between points when idle, and jitter when in motion.The name Razer used to stand for something called "quality", like the "Official Seal Of Approval" from Nintendo back in the day. Now it stands for gutter quality gadgets.Do yourself a favor if you already have one of these. Cut the cable and put it on a shelf.

I was looking for a gaming mouse to play Starcraft 2 with, and this was on sale so I though it was a sign. Unfortunately, if it was a sign, it was a bad one. The shape of the mouse never felt right, and I kept clicking the side buttons on accident while playing.I went into the settings and set all four of the side buttons to have no function, hoping I could keep using it and not have anything bad happen if I accidentally hit them. Maybe it was something I did wrong, but that didn't actually work. In the settings, it would say the button was turned off, but if I clicked it, my mouse sensitivity would increase (And I mean drastically increase, like the pointer would fly across the screen). Obviously it's hard to play a fast-paced game when your pointer is so comically fast. Poor design indeed.In addition to the annoying side buttons, the size and shape of the mouse was just frustrating and my hand would start hurting after a few minutes. I always felt as if i was trying to hold on to the mouse, and never that my hand was comfortably resting on it. I kept using it for a couple weeks, hoping to get used to it, but I simply couldn't.It's a shame because it looks so cool, and even makes a neat sound effect from a speaker on the mouse when you turn of your computer.
