Writes smoothly
Looks sober, not cheap. Writes smoothly even if you pick it up after a few days. I am taking of the one with a convertor (which I bought separately). Some users have mentioned that it clogs if unused for a few days - - that might be their experience with a cartridge

Perfect!
I was looking for the perfect pen for YEARS as I have a job involving hand writing and I like to write neatly. This pen pleased me so much that I bought for the whole family. The only drawback is they works only with lonk Parker cartiges, not with small ones. This is not necessarily a drawback, but rather something different, you just need to be aware of this aspect. This is perfect in terms of heaviness and size (it is perfect for kids as well, my son is the only one writing with the pen in his class, that's how much he enjoys it). The tip is great, doesn't leak at all, doesn't catch the paper and leaves a thin, uniform trace.

Writes well
This is a cheap pen, with a thin plastic barrel that doesn't exude quality. It is available (at different prices) in a blister pack or a gift box (more expensive). It is an 'ok' pen but there are better made (and better writing) Chinese pens for less money. However, it writes very well, with no skipping or dry starts (in regular use) and good ink flow, The nib is very similar to that used in the much dearer Parker New 51, but isn't quite as silky smooth. It is made in France. It comes with two Parker cartridges, but the converter is an optional extra. The cap is steel and posts well.Handling is fairly good for a small pen for casual use but it's size isn't, for me, substantial enough for long essays. The nib is hard and there is little or no character to the stroke, but is writes with very little pressure.A lot of reviews moan about this pen (indeed many fountain pens) leaking. The simple reason is that the ink cartridge isn't pressed in adequately (stand the cartridge upright on a table and push the pen down on to it). Inadequate ink flow is a different problem and may be due to not flushing the nib with a detergent - and drying it - before use. This pen doesn't leak and ink flow is adequate. At around £7 the basic Jotter is a decent pen: a more refined pen (in terms of materials) will cost much more and may be a better option if you want a slick, pleasant writing experience. At double the price, a Jinhao 100 'Century' is a much nicer pen to use and own. Other Jinhao pens (notably the X750) are cheaper, bigger and write a bit more expressively.Recommendation: good for a £7 pen for casual or school use. I wouldn't pay much more.

It’s Okay
I’m not overly impressed with the quality and there are certainly better pens out there for less money.

It's the original and still the best pen ever made.
It's the OG of great pens. But if you want a fatter body try the XL.

Hiding in plain sight
While not a serious collector, I own and enjoy a variety of fine writing instruments. I often shop websites as well as brick-and-mortar stores for a new pen or mechanical pencil to try out.I've owned Parker Jotter pens before. I remember a metal-barrelled one I did not like because the grip was tiresome. I also had one of these plastic-barrelled ones but don't remember using it or where it's gone off to.When shopping, I often came across the Jotter pens. Because of previous experience and the notion that a $10 pen would be neither disposable nor special, I just overlooked them. Recently, during another browsing session, I again encountered some Jotter pens and they came into better focus: legendary status, simple beauty, good reviews, compatible with a world of refill options, and a price that would allow me to carry the pen without the anxiety of losing it.Upon receiving the pen, I was delighted by the writing experience. The grip on the plastic barrel is quite comfortable and suitable for extended use. The Quink cartridge makes for smooth contact with the paper. I may occasionally switch out to a gel refill for darker print. I like the heavy click mechanism and the fact that the plunge button is sprung even after the pen tip is extended. The metal ring on the tip of the barrel is a good idea; it will prevent the hole from wearing or stretching which would make it sloppy around the cartridge tip. The 5" length of the pen is also welcome. It conveys a "cuteness" and the clip will fully engage in any shirt pocket.Bottom line: my red Parker Jotter is now one of my favorite carry pens.
