This is a fantastic filter. So quiet and so powerful. I wish I new about this 4 years ago at my other house where I needed a filter system for a 24ft metal pool. I then spent $600.00 on a filter. I have since moved and did not want to spend a lot on a pool so I bought an intex pool which was great but of course the intex filter crapped out in 1 week. I saw this one and decided to give it a try. Very well made. My pool is so clear and clean. Very powerful when vacuuming. Get this filter if you have not only and intex pool but any kind of pool.

I've been using this for almost 2 years now and it still works a s well as it did when I first installed this. I'll never be able to go back to a paper filter system again this this is so incredible! both in its efficiency an ease to use.

I put this in service May 2018, about 3 months now. I have an above ground saltwater therapy/workout pool from Fit Max. It came with a cartridge filter system & replaced with this Sand Filter. It was a good decision and the pool stays very clean. Learning the system wasn't difficult with the help of their representative who has been very responsive. I didn't realize you had to purchase an external timer but I now think that this is a better application. I have already replaced the timer & pressure guage which was easy to do. My next move is to cover the pool with a waterproof sun shade by Blue Dot Trading. This will help with UV degradation (protect my equipment) and reduce a lot of rain here in the Florida Panhandle. I have been able to keep the psi below 10 by occasional back washing. I haven't replaced the sand yet but that should be fairly easy. I highly recommend this product!

Good unit. I had a couple issues though. Get the right sand so you don't waste time like I did. Your mileage will vary on the connections, I had some extra parts laying around so I was able to make it happen. The filter basket cap is super hard to get sealed on mine, and the molding was not clean at the top. I used an orbital sander to level it out and clean up the threads. That improved, but did not fully fix it. Some teflon tape and a beefier o-ring has held up so far.Another issue I ran across was certain size debris would clog my strainer basket in minutes. My solution was use some commercial lighting egg-crate I cut to create a partition in the basket and then added a thick slice of pond foam. This has held up for almost a month. Much better than stopping the filter twice a day to clear the basket. This is not a large pump pulling high amperage so I was able to use a basic outdoor Christmas timer. I think this pump is powerful enough - although more power is always better, especially is you are going to be adding extras like vac-bots and splitting off to fountains.

If you are thinking about buying a sand filter then do it! This filter saved my pool this season. This was our first season with this filter and I would not have a pool without it. Our water stayed crystal clear all summer. All we did for maintenance was backwashing, two chlorine tablets and some pH Up each week. Maintenance took less than 5 minutes a week to keep the pool water crystal clear. We have the Intex 15' Easy Set pool and this filter fits perfectly. The only thing I would suggest is replacing the plastic hose clamps with metal hose clamps.

Totally recommend. I have the 75d. Shipped super fast too. I have a 52x48 Intex ultra pool. The pool came with a 1,500 gph sand pump. Way too small for this size pool. I knew I needed to replace it right away before I ran into problems. The Sandpro came with all necessary pieces to hook right up to my Intex pool. This is my only complaint about putting this filter together...the plug that screws into the bottom of the sand tank would not stop leaking. I had to use lots of silicone sealer and lots of silicone tape. Make sure to use that silicone tape on all connection areas. It would be nice if this filtration system had an on/off button, much longer cord with gcfi on it, and had a built-in timer (all of which Intex sand pumps have). Although, I concede that the price point on the Sand Pro is very good so adding those features would probably drive up the cost which I think definitely would be worth it. I’ve had this pump for a little over a month and it has done a great job. My water is always very clear. The flow into the pool is strong and the suction leaving the pool is great as well. I typically backwash and rinse the sand once a week.

I run this pump sand filter every day for 8-12hrs in my little 14ft pool (3500gallons). It says its rated for 10,000gallons.. I started to notice after 10 mins of plugging it in it barely puts out any water. So I cleaned the filter and replaced the sand. Ran great for 10 mins again now it's barely pushing any water again. The pump sounds the same my electric meter says its pulling the same amps which means the pump is rotating the same as when I first turn it on. No air pockets and its hooked up correctly.I do not recommend this product!

I am so glad i made this purchase. I upgraded to an intex paper filter when the cheap impeller went bad on the original. The intex would not work when i pluged it in for this season so I looked for a new one. I did a lot of research and really debated if i wanted to upgrade to sand. Amazon seemed like they wanted to push intex or a few other brands. This Game sand filter is much more then i expected. It is extreamly quiet and powerful. Keeps the pool much more clean with less run time. Makes it a lot easier to vacuum. This filter came with all the hoses and adapters i needed. Most others in the same catagory did not include additional parts. This filter is nore then enough for my 16x48, which is about 6,000 gallons. If you are on the fence, be assured this is a great filter, especially for the cost.
