In the next few years, I will probably be driving cross country in my 2000 Ford Ranger. I decided to purchase a few items that might be handy on the road, including a portable tire pump. I've spent way too much time on the side of the freeway with a flat tire because my mom has no sense. I bought this based on the 97,000+ reviews. My husband thinks there is a leak in his tire because he's constantly airing it up with an air compressor that's nearly always on the fritz. I offered to let him borrow this before I even had a chance to use it. "That won't work. You wasted your money, but I'll give it a try." Ten minutes later: "That thing is incredible! How much did it cost? Where can I get one?" At this point, I don't even know why there's an air compressor taking up room in our house because this small, lightweight pump gets the job done with zero hassle and, I'm guessing, much less maintenance. And I don't have to pay for air at a gas station or wait until I can find one if I detect the pressure is low. Also, it's full of so many features that act as backup for things you should be carrying anyway, like a flashlight and tire-pressure gauge.

I’ve had this little gem for just over a year now and I’ve used it a handful of times and every time I use it I think to myself “this little thing is amazing, I need to leave a review for it” but alas, I always end up forgetting. Not this time! This portable compressor is amazing. It’s compact, efficient and accurate. I love the backlit display with readout that shows you what the current PSI is when you initially connect it and while it’s working. The display is easy to see from a distance. I live in a an area with extremely cold winters so I appreciate being able to hook this up at home in my heated garage where I can essentially “set it and forget it” thanks to the pre programmable feature where you set your desired pressure and the machine automatically stops once reached. It stands on its own while working and I’ve never had any issues with it tipping over. No more standing outside in below zero temps and having to search for a pressure gauge at a gas station to add air to my tires. The cord is plenty long enough to reach all 4 tires from the plug in my center console. The machine is extremely easy to use and it remembers the PSI that was previously set or programmed every time you use it so it doesn’t need to be reset each time. The included flash light feature is nice although I’ve only needed to use it once. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn’t is some sort of a storage/carrying case since I keep it in my vehicle at all times in case of emergencies, so a nice little zippered bag with handles or something would be great. It also comes with a handful of different types of valves for various uses but so far, I’ve only used the one to add air to my car tires. Every time I use it, it works as good as the very first time. If anything ever happens to it and I need to buy a replacement, I wouldn’t hesitate but may look for one that has the option to plug into a wall outlet in addition to the car port, if such a thing even exists. Overall I highly recommend this for its easy of use, size, price point and convenience. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I rarely write reviews (mostly just read them before buying, myself,) but this tire inflator impressed me so much, I wanted to share my experience with this product.Pulling it out of the box, I had some doubts; the inflator is very compact and not remotely heavy. I couldn't imagine it would be powerful enough to inflate the tires of my SUV. I read the manual, which included graphics of each step, and simple directions on use. It comes out of the box ready-to-use. There's also a little bag of accessories to modify use for things like balls, as well as a spare fuse (we didn't need any of the extra items.)Following the directions, I started my vehicle, plugged in the 12V adaptor, and turned it on. The LED light was already set to on; I was operating it during the day, but see this would be a very valuable little feature if needed roadside or in the dark. I set the desired pressure, connected it to the tire stem, and turned it on. It's surprisingly loud for its size, but not painfully so. I was impressed at how quickly it inflated the tire from completely flat. In well under 8 minutes, the unit had the tire up to 20PSI. We stopped there, because we had another tire to inflate, and this was more a proof of concept run.It's lightweight, and as there is snow on the ground here, I held it by the handle. Likely due to the outdoor temps, not being on the ground, and the brief time we used it, the unit did not get hot (the manual says to not use for longer than 15 minutes per session, with at least 10 minutes between sessions, to not overheat it.)It does exactly as promised, and the petite size makes it perfect to stash in the trunk for emergency usage, even if you aren't dealing with a chronic slow-leaking tire. I've actually given this one to my daughter, and am buying a second to store in my trunk. This is as valuable as keeping jumper cables in your trunk, if not more so, especially for the price.I hope this is helpful to anyone waffling on purchasing this, concerned it is too good a price to be a useful tool. I am exceedingly pleased with our purchase.
