Porcelain Grater Plate for Ginger, Garlic and Onion for kitchen, 8 inches & white

We bought this after seeing one used by Chef Matty Matheson in one of his youtube videos. The product works very well when grating garlic, ginger, or onions for different applications, and even grating tomatoes for fresh salsa!I wish they had a larger one, so we could get a little more volume without having to transfer to a different vessel, but it's a wonderful tool, and we would buy it again, (unless the seller has a larger unit), in which case we'd buy one of those!

So, my kids cook a lot. They’re 11 and 12, which means they have the patience of a caffeinated koala. If something doesn’t make the process quicker or easier it goes straight into the back of a drawer where I will find it two years later when I’m finally motivated enough to do that kitchen purge I’ve been putting off forever.They use and love this thing. They basically use it exclusively for ginger, but they cook with ginger frequently and say it’s both easy to use and easy to clean. If it gets their endorsement it certainly gets mine. The food they’ve used it on has been delicious, so no mom complaints.

2 flaws in the ceramic. 1 on the inside and 1 on the bottom(an actual chunk gone). These do not affect usage. The little grinder knobs are super sharp and it wants to hold on to the garlic. I did get my garlic to basically shreds with juices released. PLEASE CONSIDER INCLIDING A BRUSH. You need one to remove the garlic onto your food/meal. Overall it does work. It is a large size, which I is nice.

This does a perfect job on ginger, just so very easy, but I was tickled that once I've pulled my ginger pulp off, the minor residue that appears "stuck" on the teeth is not stuck at all but literally just rinses off under the faucet. So satisfying! Be careful how you hold your ginger piece when using this. It does not hurt you at all to handle this or even run your finger over it but if you hold your ginger wrong you *will* grate your knuckle. xD

This is a very pretty, strong and elegant grater plate. It is very sturdy and stays still when you use it. Easy to hold and grind without any slipping. I like that this is a much safer grater, no risk of grater your knuckles by accident, which I would do all the time with a traditional grater. It’s great that it has a little most around the grater to catch what you are grading.

I love this ginger grater so much that when my daughter dropped it on the tile floor and broke it, I immediately bought 2 more. I previously used a small, square, ginger grater. This is infinitely better! You can grate lots of ginger, and none of it goes to waste, including the juice.

I like this grater but it is impossible to get contents of after they have been grated. Next time I would purchase one with a brush that helps scrape and clean

Nice size, love the well around the tines (that are super sharp and work fast and easy) that catches the grated ginger and all the juice. Only way to improve would be for it to come with a little brush to get all the ginger out fast - I know because I use the cleaning brush from my garlic press.
