Mepilex Border Self-Adherent Absorbent Foam Dressing - Size 3 x 3" - 5 Count (3 Pack)

I bought the Mepilex Border Self-Adherent Absorbent Foam Dressing for my mom who is on blood thinners, is very sensitive to adhesives, and has very, very thin skin. She recently fell, bled all over the place, and continued seeping blood for days. The hospital used these dressings because they would soak up quite a bit of blood before needing to be changed and you can get them wet so they can be left in place for days. Plus, they peel off without tearing the skin which is a big concern for my mom's fragile skin. I think they are kind of pricey but they make it easy to provide her with wound care without aggravating her skin or causing any other problems. I would not use them in situations where a regular, cheaper bandage could be used, but if you have similar needs as my mom, then I would say they are worth it.

These are just amazing . . . reduce discomfort, are not painful to remove, collects drainage. There's not much else to say. They are expensive, but when you really need something sturdy that moves with your body without causing you to cry with pain, these are the ones.

I use this product for pressure sores. How long they stay on depends on where you have to place them but since they adhere on all four sides they tend to stay on longer and allow for faster healing.

We got these to cover a blister my husband got from his prosthetic and not only did they take the pressure off very nicely, they helped keep the space dry and clean which resulted in speedy healing. They stayed on very well even with sweat. Very pleased

Take it from a nurse, for a nasty long healing wound nothing else will do.

These absorb and adhere. A variety of sizes so you can happily track the healing by going down a size. Ideal for large debridement wounds. Use vashe to loosen if needed.

This product was recommended by our VNA and the doctor was pleased also. It is pricy but it cushions and protects the areas of use. It does not pull or comprise the wound when taking it off, causing more of issue. The adhesive does not tear the skin like some bandages which is important for an elder person but can be overstretched. Very pleased with the product.

Bit spendy, but a very good product. I have super sensitive skin, especially with regards to adhesives, but have had no reaction with these. I have used them daily for 6 weeks (very stubborn wound).
