As a DJ myself I decided to build my own cases for my equipment, I have a few Odyssey brand flight cases already which I love and decided to build my own this time around. After looking at others, I decided to buy this butterfly latch because of the great finish, when it arrived and I compared it to the butterfly latches on my Odyssey cases I came to the realization that these latches are just as good as the ones used by Odyssey.In my line of work, I build speaker boxes and flight cases a lot and I've been using the Penn-Elcom brand hardware for a while now. Everything I build looks really high-end and very professional when done. If you are thinking about buying this, do not hesitate as the build quality is great, and your finished product will look professionally made.

Not a lot to say - it does what it's supposed to. Installation is as easy as it looks, the finish nice and appears durable. It's a sizeable piece of hardware, and works exactly like you'd expect.

Worked beautifully on a road case I needed to repair. I tour professionally and wanted to save some money on replacing a latch. Couldn't have been easier. Product seems very road worthy. No complaints.

does the job i used for a dj case i made and i love it i used one in each side i wish i have the channel that fit in the borders of my material

These butterfly latches are very well made and strong. I used them on a fiber shipping case to replace the rather weak clasps that were installed on the case front the factory.
