Too technical (at first) for an advanced 5-year-old
I read books to my 5-year-old daughter almost every night. Sometimes SHE reads to ME. This was the first time she's ever said, "Can we read another book instead?" It's a decent book, but maybe she's used to hearing about a central character or set of characters. Since the "central character" is a solar panel, it made this book too conceptual and technical. I would like for my kids to learn about alternative energy (we own an electric car), so I'll try again next year.UPDATE: a few weeks after writing this review, my daughter starting asking me to read THIS book. She now likes it!
