Saved me lots of $$$!
Perfect! Five minutes to install and the washing machine works as new. LG made a cheap original part. The spline rounded out and the agitator did not work. I almost bought another washing machine until I read the reviews here to help explain the issue. I have attached a picture of the rounded out old part and a picture of the new part so you might understand the issue. The spline is on the under side of the Washplate that attaches to the shaft.

Perfect fit, easy to install.
This worked great and easy to install. My only complaint is that in the description it should say clearly that the bolt in the center actually comes with this item. Important to know because I ordered that bolt separately and it's an added $18-$20 which is not necessary.

Get rid of trapped lint/detergent sludge, and mildew orders by replacing your washplate
If you have sludge build- up in your HE top load washer, and the clean cycle with Affresh does not resolve, replace your washplate.Lint and detergent residue get trapped inside the washer plate and cannot escape. Cleaner tabs, bleach, ammonia, etc will NOT dissolve the particles trapped inside. You will notice greasy brown/black stains on your clothes. May or may not have a mildew smell. It looks and feels like grease stains. The Tub Clean cycles cannot get rid of it. If you are suspect, take the washplate out and spray water under hose pressure into the center at angle. If you see stuff trying to ooze out the holes, then you need to replace the washplate.Pry up the center plastic cap with screwdriver, carefully. 10mm nut removes normal thread (left to loosen). The whole was plate will lift right out.Replace, only snug up the bolt and put cap back on. Done.I broke the two halves of the original washer plate apart to show how much residue gets trapped inside the wash plate after 3 Tub Clean runs(with affresh) a bleach and a vinegar wash. The key is to use less detergent than what the OEM and soap makers say. Only need 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of detergent for light to medium load.

Fast DIY repair if your washplate keeps coming off!
So our washplate came off, I reattached it. But it came off again. Called a repairman thinking I had somehow not gotten it attached correctly. Paid for the labor. STILL came off. A bit of searching online led me to find post that said the inner splines that keep it attached to the tub base can wear down, allowing the motion to undo the screw holding it in place.Ordered this replacement. Shipped with Prime. Replaced it myself and all is right in the world. +++ recommendations for this one!

Thank goodness for Amazon and YouTube
When the washerplate in my washer floated to the top and no amount of screwing it back in worked, I turned to YouTube to figure out if I could fix it myself...I could and Amazon to see if I could buy the part...I did.Between my 17 year old son and me, we cleaned out the gunk left in the bottom of the washer drum and screwed in the new washerplate. Success! The washer works 100% perfect and it kept my 5ish year washer still in the race. The part even showed up sooner than the quoted delivery date. Bonus!!

perfect, exactly what i needed
It's just the agitator plate, so it doesn't come with the cap. Just a warning in case you're missing it. I just used my old cap. It was exactly as pictured and works perfectly with my WT5170HW. I've got zero technical skills and I managed to install it within minutes after watching a tutorial on youtube by Scams Garage. It also arrived to my home 6 days earlier than expected (thank god). The package itself was cushioned extremely well, with a ton of packeted airbags.

Seems good 2 go.
Our original had lint/debris stuck between the SS and white plastic disks. Can't get to clean it without destroying the impeller. We suspected it contributed to a musty smell after removing the entire drum and cleaning everything else. This new impeller appears to be same design and was clean. It had manufacturing marks (colored crayon) that indicated to me it was brand new (and no debris). It came with a new 10mm mounting bolt (with blue thread lock applied) which I was not expecting. Install was easy and we have run the washer numerous times since without issue. No balance problems, no clearance issues between drum and impeller, impeller runs true inside the drum opening. From what I can tell it is all good 2 go. I only wish it was a $35 part instead of $76.

Easy DIY fix for your LG washer!
We absolutely love our LG washer but being foster parents, having 4 children of our own, plus an obsession with clean linens, our washing machine has taken a beating over the 7 years we’ve owned it. The wash plate came loose and I watched a YouTube video to see what to do, ordered this part, and within 15 mins of receiving this package from Amazon I was back to washing laundry! We have used Amazon for the LG intake valve and now the wash plate and saved ourselves time and $$$ in calling an appliance repair-person. It’s very easy to install and I did it myself while I was multitasking and cooking dinner so I know you can DIY too.

Not the correct part?
On the ad it says that this is part AGZ72909702. The box has an original sticker with AGZ72909701 on it and then a sticker on top that has the correct number?
