As the author says, no soils are the same and yours might need completely different ingredients to success than what's in the typical lawn fertilizer bag.This book is easy to follow, thoroughly written and fully packed with great insights in how to nurture my lawn, which from now on is the soil and the grass plants, not just the greenish grass carpet around my house.

Wow! I did not expect to learn as much as I did from this book. Some of the organic methods listed in the book blew my mind! The best part was that I was able to ask the Author (Daniel Stover) questions as I got more into the book. I have a very large yard and garden. I now have golf course worthy grass and am the envy of my neighbors which is the best part.

This guide was very helpful in teaching me the basics (and more) of making my yard the oasis I've always dreamed it could be! Daniel Stover is very knowledgable in his field and can get even a novice like me growing a beautiful yard that is the envy of the neighborhood. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to beautify their outdoor space!

This book is essential if you are serious about lawn care. The grammar and typos are AWFUL and this book is in serious need of editing. However, my lawn has never looked better and my friends think I’m now some sort of grass guru.

I’m not sure what the few bad reviews are about. This book is excellent and helped me take my lawn to the next level.

Didn't really break things down all the way for me but was a good read

Its not for people looking for a quick book of pointers, this is beyond what I expected. I just bought a new house and I refer to it often. It dives into the science behind maintaining a lawn the way a professional does it.

Index gives page numbers but the pages are not numbered. Only basic advice given, despite all the technical data. No illustrations, numerous typing errors, overspaced text. Difficult to follow. Don't bother.

All revolves around America.Not for Australian conditions or climate, disappointing.
