I used one of these wood pruning blades to prune and then completely remove a small tree that had dried up and died. I had tried a regular wood blade and it was not very effective. This worked much better, and I was really impressed. I used a cordless dewalt reciprocating saw, and it only took a few minutes to saw through a few dozen small branches and then the trunk of a 5 inch diameter tree. This was all with a single blade! I have yet to try them on live trees, which have moisture and different fibers. But for the price, I am very happy with this purchase!

Works great for cutting roots and saplings near the ground, as long as the wood is not too hard. Although the blade is a foot long, it takes too long to cut limbs that you cannot reach your fingers around (more than around five inches).

I’ve been using these blades for Pruning for a few years now. Think I have searched and re ordered them 4 times now. They are sharp, last long, and cut well. I have cut down large trees with these and they do a great job! I do a lot of pruning of large branches and have only snapped a couple of these. They aren’t indestructible..But for the price and if you need to cut large branches, stumps or full trees these will do the trick!

These blades are very sharp and keep the edge well. They can cut thru a 3 inch oak branch easily

Seem to work well. Cut down some small saplings 1"- 4" diameter with the first blade and it still has plenty of life left.

I have a cheap reciprocating saw and I bought these because they are cheap blades. I don't use my saw all that often so the demand placed on my saw and blades are fairly low. Having said that, these blades are pretty poor. Whether you are cutting wood or metal, they don't cut real smoothly or quickly and they just don't hold up very well. They are wearing out quickly. They do fit in my saw snugly. They are destined soon for the trash. My cheap saw will probably last me many years and it does a perfectly adequate job for my needs, but I learned my lesson on the blades. You just can't skimp on the blades.

The blades were used to trim fruit trees. Average diameter of branches were 4-6inches. One blade was effective and efficient in trimming two 20’ high citrus and two 15’ citrus trees. The blade was also used in trimming an old bougainvillea bush. Considering the box store prices and selection, I was pleasantly surprised as to the quality of these blades. For the price, give them a try.
