While my use of this is rather unconventional, it actually does a bang up job for my purpose. I have a rather large library of external hard drives that were taking up a lot more desk space than they needed to. I had a ton of space above them that was being completely wasted. I needed a way to keep them on my desk more efficiently while providing crucial air flow. I measured everything, and it seemed that this mesh unit checked all the boxes. The sides are open so cords can be routed nicely.This arrived really quickly. It was easy to assemble, though I have to state - in all fairness - that once assembled, it was a bit wonky and off-square. That really wasn't an issue for me for my purpose because it seemed that once I added the weight of my hard drives, it would sit just fine (it did), but for someone who's a tad OCD like me, and is just wanting to store papers - the fact it's not perfectly square could potentially make you a little nuts.My hard drives fit perfectly on the shelves in pairs, though I have two older drives that are on the bigger, clunkier side and they each take up a shelf on their own. However, there are enough shelves on this that I still have a spare. My newer, smaller drives fit on the shelves in multiples, and I have extra room for future drives or papers. Because this is such an open design and made of mesh, air circulation is good and I don't worry about anything overheating or getting hot. This has freed up room on my desk top and helped to clean up a pile of what was hard drive clutter.I'd definitely purchase another for the same purpose, and actually recommend it for this use. I'd searched Amazon for a product that was made specifically for this and couldn't find anything - and then happened to stumble across similar products like this. That got me to thinking that something made of mesh would work if the shelves were large enough, which led me to this item. It turned out to be a great find!

Every time I tried cleaning off the 4" pile of stuff on my desk it collected more, so I really needed this. It wasn't the one I ordered (SimpleHouseware 6 Trays Desktop Document Letter Tray Organizer, Black) but it's almost the same. It was fairly easy to put together, except I couldn't figure out what the long screws were for. I found a video on how to put it together (which didn't use the long screws either). The shelves don't tilt as much as the picture shows, but they are okay. It seems to be sturdy enough and I think it will work out fine and keep me more organized. If I were the manufacturer I would have all the shelves made the same as the top one (except for needing the back screwed in) but I guess this way you can pull out one shelf if you need to reach something in the back.

Poorly written/confusing assembly instructions written by non native English speakers. Flimsy overall quality. Not a good value.

This organizer sits on a counter in my office and is very convenient when I need to grab a document or file in a hurry. It's nice to set up for the day when you have client's coming in and you want to be prepared. I also like the fact that it allows me to clean up quickly when necessary. I just slide the files and papers into the organizer until I have time to file or address them. Although I use this in my work office, I could see it in a home office or home school setting as well because wherever you have loose papers, this will certainly help to corral them.

Pros:-Simple to assemble-Has an alright look-Serves it's intended purpose---Cons:-The pegs it came with were worthless; caused the thing to be wobbly. Removing these got rid of that problem though, so easy enough fix there if that's a concern.(if giving this rating with half star considerations; 4.5)

It serves its purpose for me. It will only fit 8 1/2 x 11 size papers. Just an FYI. When I ordered I didn't read the info about size.

Bought this for my daughter who is at home doing virtual and has six classes to keep track of. Her room is a mess but her school books and folders come out of the correct slot and go back into the correct slot allowing her at least to keep schools organized. A bit too small for three ring binder ‘s, two pocket folders steno notebooks and her workbooks fit well.
