His books are well researched, and his topics are discussed in detail. We, the readers are fortunate to share his research in reading his books.Understanding Jesus is truly a guide to the life of Jesus and the times he lived. You only need to read a paragraph and your hunger to know more about Jesus becomes insatiable.With the first sentence, the reader becomes instantaneously part of the world and the culture of the times when Jesus lived. You are there, living and experiencing everything the people of that time did. At the same time you are in the world, here and now, and experiencing the Gospel message relevant to you and your circumstances here, today. That is not all. You are taught the facts and theology of the Gospel with comments and descriptions that make you smile.Each page that you turn makes you yearn for the Lord, laughing, crying and praying. The only way Jesus can become more alive to you than in Understanding Jesus, is through your personal relationship with our Lord.I definitely recommend Understanding Jesus to everybody, whether you are a Bible student or not. A year of intensive devotion in understanding Jesus proved highly rewarding not just for author Stephen Miller but for the many that will be fortunate enough to read this excellent book. His quest to paint a picture of Jesus for people that don't know much about Him proved to reveal a great resource for guiding those questioning or new in Christ on an exciting learning experience.Stephen Miller will take you through the life, ministry, and death of Jesus in a very detailed fashion adding the customs of the time. His style of writing will allow the reader to vividly paint a picture in their mind of the geographic landscape, the miracles of Jesus, the Last Supper, and Jesus arrest, trial, and death. The Lord's Prayer has been dissected to clarify each sectional meaning and when Jesus chose the 12 disciples, each of their characteristics including how they died as a martyr is shared.This is an A-Z account of Jesus and has great readability. I recommend it to those wanting to gain a full comprehensive account of His life. This is a 5 star book in my opinion.

I enjoyed this book. There were a few things I had not known about the various journeys Jesus took. But all in all, most everything matched closely with other writings of Jesus' time. The author did clarify several things that I had been questioning. This won't be the last book by Miller that I plan on reading; there are a couple other books that have been recommended to me so I plan on getting & reading those soon.

Well written and held my attention throughout. Learned a lot about the world and people around Jesus. Would recommend for anyone.

Another book from this author! I love his books, it's a simple approach without any bias of one religion over the next. After 30+ years in church, I found it refreshing to read. It brought some new light on old stories and even new information that I didn't know. This author's books is a must have in a christian's library. Definitely recommend.

Enjoy using this book to get a great overview on Jesus life. Good index to look up topics to check out. LIke that its full of information, some charts and easy to understand. Highly recommend for kids and adults. A good book to use in a sunday school or homeschool lesson. Want a daily bible study along with your Bible reading and need a change from daily devotionals? Try this book with its 2 to 3 page study to learn something new to daily.

I enjoy this book both times I read it. It is a must when wanting to look deeper into the culture of men. Jesus's life becomes more than words on a page. Coupling this book with the Holy Bible lends the study a helpful hand.

I give this book only 4 stars because I feel like some topics of discussion could have used more information. It would however be a good read for Christians who want a little more insight surrounding the life and times of Jesus. A lot of helpful information. I really enjoyed this book, and will most l likely be reading it again.
