So before I review this product There is some thing I like to say.. For those of you who are like me and impatient and just jump in to things with out reading or watching videos that show you the proper way to install something. I highly recommend you stop.. Go watch the videos provided above on this page and watch how to properly install this product. Trust me you will thank me later.. I sadly just made a huge mistake and cut the wrong part of the zipper trying to replace it and now Im replacing the entire zipper with a new one.. Because I was Impatient and jump in with out reading the directions or watching the videos..Now my review Zipper #2 was replaced with in seconds and was beyond easy to do. Anyone can do this and save a lot of money. unless you do wow I did to zipper one.. lol The product is very well built for what it is. Comes in small baggies and is easy to store when not in use.. The instructions come in English and with photos and are easy to fallow if you actually read them, and don't jump in like I did.. For its over all price and what is provided in this kit.. I have to say its well worth every penny. Will buy this again if I ever need too... Highly recommend this product..

Gets 4.5 stars: The zippers work! AND/BUT:1- It looks like the zippers are decent quality. If the zipper repair I just completed fails later, I will modify this review. (I completed the replacement of the zipper I broke, and I am delighted with the result.)1- There are several TYPES and several SIZES. The pictures that show the product are helpful (so I printed each of the pictures full size (8.5" x 11") - and that helped me choose the right one.)2- The enclosed instructions are inadequate. Better and additional instructions are needed (which is why I deducted half a star) - the video provided in the Amazon description helps. Fortunately, I still had the zipper that broke - and that also helped me find the right type and size.3- Read at least several of the other reviews: They are very helpful!!!4- I had not done this before, so I had to proceed slowly and carefully. And I got it done!5- DON'T force what you are fixing: you might be using the wrong type of zipper or the wrong size. And you don't want to break the teeth, or stretch or tear the fabric.Good luck!

Merchant shipped these quickly and they arrived exactly as described. The quality is a little flimsy - not heavy duty, not high quality zippers. That said, they do work! I was able to repair a fleece that I otherwise would’ve had to throw out. So yeah, I’d recommend them.

You get plenty of zipper heads but without instruction. So I had to try and test each head to see which was the smoothest for my project. Like alot of zippers out there this is made of an alloy. This means if you bend it open and close using plyers and a flat head like I do, you can only do so once. Otherwise, the head will crack and snap in two.The other method is pulling out the teeth to give your head the runway to go back in the zipper and you can test that way (harder/messier but does not wear the head).I found the heads that worked did close the zippers but not like the original. Zipper coils for example looks more squished together.Buy it if you need it. Price point is fine for multiple projects. Test it out and make sure zipping is smooth and is secure.

The instructions only covered closed bottom zippers - like a pocket zipper on a jacket (or the fly on pants). The front zipper on a jacket is an open bottom zipper. The cheapest I could get anyone to repair the jacket was $90. But, I was able to figure out how to repair my favorite $150 jacket using this kit. I couldn't be more pleased!First thing you'll want to do is examine your existing zipper slider and see if it has a number on it, this might help you identify the right replacement slider. Might - because some zippers don't have numbers on them and some zippers with numbers don't follow the normal standard for numbering. In most cases number represents the width of the closed zipper in mm. So, a designation of 4 is for a 4mm zipper, a 5 is for a 5mm zipper. For an open bottom zipper, first see if the slider will slip over and slide freely on the open side of the zipper, if it will not, no sense in wasting any time with that zipper slide - try another zipper slide. On a closed zipper, you just have to open up the zipper like shown in the instructions and hope you've got the right zipper slide.Don't bother crimping the stop on the zipper fabric until you make sure the zipper works. Generally speaking, if the zipper won't slide at all, the slide is too small. If the zipper will slide, but the teeth fail to engage, the zipper slide is too wide.This particular kit has a wide variety of zipper slides, which should cover the vast majority of cases. Absolutely do not buy this poorly manufactured junk. I have a white jacket and wanted to replace its #5 zipper slider which was painted white but chipped off over time. Firstly, the pliers aren't as pointed as they look in the photo. Secondly, the #5 zippers in the kit weren't labeled and it took me some time to find the right match. Thirdly, once I was sure I found the right zipper, I installed it on my jacket only to find that when I zipped up, it wouldn't attach the two sides of the jacket together. I tried another from the kit, hoping the first was one defective, but I still had the same problem. Waste of money and I feel conned.
