Great Guide
Really like the way this ties in ICS with Search and Rescue criteria. It really homes in on the specifics for the various positions within the SAR unit. It is well laid out and is packed with more info than seems possible in a "check list" format. Highly recommend for SAR management teams.

A bit dated, but still useful
First published in 1996, Koester's FOG for SAR remails a useful one-volume reference for the SAR specialist operating under the Incident Command System. Yes, there are a few places where terminology has changed, but the basic lessons and information in the book are as valid today as in the mid-90s. Recommended for your library and your deployment bag, whether you're a field grunt or a base staffer.

Great On-the-fly and Training Reference for SAR
This is a great reference for both on-the-fly reference and training. As stated in another review, it is intended as a reference for folks in SAR leadership roles from Field Team Leader on up to IC and will only be of use if you have some ICS training and SAR experience.

"That others may live".
Just what I needed. Very handy for field use and compliments the larger textbooks.
