Works!!!
There are unfair negative reviews for these. But look they hair rollers ... They're not an iPhone or a smart TV. They're going to be flimsy. These kind are as flimsy as the authentic ones my Nan had in the 50s. Whether or not they work depends on a few things:The cut of your hair.- my hair is feathered. So you get more volume out of your curls with a textured layer and feather in your hair. (No, layering and feathering are not the same thing- I have both)If you have long straight hair you will curl the ends more than the strands. The hair type - the easiest way to explain this is whether or not you're hair is oily or dry. My hair is dryer than most. So when I wash it it's harder to keep in shape it holds for the morning and drops as the day progresses. So I spritz with a curling serum or hair spray before I put them in. They stay easier the next day without washing. The length of time they're in- just like in the 50s these rollers need to be in for a considerable amount of time. In the bygone days our grannies had them in when their husbands left for work and kept them in until before he's due home. That's a good 9 hours.Today, you might be the one heading out the door to work. So, and this is key, SLEEP IN THEM. Most rollers back then are plastic. For the simple reason no one really wore them to bed. But sponge rollers allow this.Round up- I save so much time on a morning. I simply leave removing the rollers to the last minute. usually I don't need to do anything but spritz with hair spray. But if they get a little tangled as the day progresses Then I brush gently with a G-COMB.When they arrive they all flat and horrible but once the air gets in after a few hours they puff right uppositives :can sleep comfortablyAffordable.Easy to useNo heatNegatives:They are easily broken but all rollers of this type are really. Be gentle.

Cheap and fall to bits
These are rubbish. Really cheaply made. Come in a vacuum packed bag so you have to wait for them to puff up to normal size before you can use them. The thin plastic clasp falls off as you roll them. Definitely not worth £10, I bet they sell better quality rollers in the pound shop. They are comfy to wear though once you finally get them in.

Great Value
Exactly as described and do the job well. They do arrive flat in an airtight bag, but will plump up after you take them out and leave them to regain their shape. Comfy to sleep in (I wear a satin cap over them. Very pleased with mine.Tip - remember to curl around the full plumpness of the roller and don't wind too tight.

A bit flimsy
Arrived quickly, very good value, comfortable but roller and grip come apart very easily. Have to work very carefully. Constantly stopping to put together. Not helped by the fact that sponge is ever so slightly too long . A mm shorter and it wouldn’t press and detach the grip quite so easily. Otherwise all ok

READ THE DESCRIPTION
Ok people come on now!! Instead of scrolling through the pictures and jumping to the reviews, READ THE DESCRIPTION before adding to cart!!!So many of the negative reviews are from people who were angry that they are flat packed and require a little time to reshape. Even though it states it.Just because you failed to read everything does not make something 'not fit for purpose'I was in no rush to use mine so i left them on the side rather than soak them in water. By the next day they were fully reshaped. They are great. They dont tangle my hair, they are super easy to use and i was happy with the finished result. If anything i would like bigger rollers but i knew the size, because i read the description. They are flimsy and cheap, but they were cheap so i wasnt expecting salon quality.

Confirmation that the rollers will return to original form very quickly
Saw some reviews complaining that these are unusable because they arrive vacuum packed.. wanted to confirm other reviews that state that they expanded back to normal with water (very quickly too, they just took a while to dry again, even in the sun). Also a few reviews saying they're flimsy... As a hairdresser I'd just like to point out that these are probably less suitable for long/thick hair.My hair is fine/soft/curly and they're perfect for it. In fact for £8 they're not as flimsy as I expected. (Disclaimer, these are for personal use, I don't think I'd use them professionally..).

like the quality and comfortable to sleep in .

Is this a joke?
These are NOT rollers. They came in a vacuumed bag and they're totally flat. I get they were cheap but they could have actually come in their shape. They're useless like that.
