Smart & practical, but the ‘sloppy’ lid makes me feel it’s way overpriced.
The first time I bought this bin, I noticed that the 2 sides of the lid didn’t close tightly and didn’t sit flush. I returned it assuming it was damaged.The next bin came, and the lid is the same, so I assume it’s just meant to be slack. The right hand side flap sits higher than the left (worse at the rear). This misalignment is a bit unsightly, but more annoyingly the lid isn’t properly sealed also. The 2 flaps don’t mesh together properly, there’s a gap down the middleI will put up with this as I’m using it for recycling rather than smelly waste, & there’s no denying the practicality of its size, but when paying upwards of £150 for a bin, I kind of would hope for a bit finer attention to detail & less of a jarring lid mechanism.
