Gibson Home Soho Lounge 10.5" Square Dinner Plates, Red, Set of 8

I am very disappointed in this product. I bought this set as a gift for my wife thinking it was going to hold up well for our family. It definitely had not! Within a couple of months the plates started to chip. And they continue to get worse as we use them. Not a good product.

I don't understand the negative reviews.Granted I have needed to replace plates over the years, not for outdoor use with friends "enjoying" the weekend, but that's my fault.Packaging? I've never received loose items. If anything, there is more cardboard than product.They're not super fancy, neither am I. If you want solid dinnerware with a warm home feeling, this fits the bill.

Came in a really weird small box - loose within a much larger box. One plate was broken. All the rest were fine. The plates themselves are fine, nothing super fancy. I bought these to replace the plates in the full set I had, going to show that the durability isn't superb. I already had the bowls, so I wanted to keep the set matching.

I already had a whole set, but if you move to fast putting them away they chip easy. I bought these to replace all the ugly broken ones.

These dinner plates, that are dishwasher safe are great, and unless you drop them from a couple feet they are very durable. We purchased these to increase the complete survice set for when we had company. The only issue I have with these plates is that they are a different shade of burgundy than the set we were matching them to not too different but definitely noticable. Over all we are extremely happy with this brand and our plates.

Bought these for my mom after she broke some from her current set and she was super happy to be able to get the stand alone plates.

Within two weeks one of the plates chipped, a few weeks later another one did too. They weren't dropped either, it was during washing (they're "dishwasher" safe). Weird white marks showed up on one and it won't go away. Overall the quality of these plates suck, but they're pretty.

These plates are heavy and beautiful. Some people have complained about chipping you can not soak these in water for long periods of time. I think that is where the chips come from . Had for a month or two and no problem would order again
