Service is non existant
The speaker sounds great but if you need any parts forget it. My charger quit working and to get a new one it will take 3 to 4 months per Dali. There is not a service center in the whole United States. The part is being shipped by boat from Denmark to Canada then it has to go through customs again to get into the US.I did own Dali Euphonias and the same thing happened with them. $10,000 speakers and no parts available. Just a tip. If your going to buy a speaker that will travel with you, things are bound to happen. Buy a speaker rom someone who can service it when needed. After speaking with 3 or 4 different people with Dali I was told they would send me the part in ten days. 14 days later I received a part from Dali. Unfortunately it was the wrong part. Do yourself a favor and buy something where if you need service or parts they are available. Dali parts are dam near impossible to find.

compared side by side I find this to have best sound quality
I have been investigating and trying out different speakers which received high praises, JBL charge 3, extreme, Bose revolve +, compared side by side I find this to have best sound quality. Percussions and voices are natural and crystal clear without being too sharp. Base is as good as any larger Bluetooth speakers but tight without being boomy. It is a stereophile Bluetooth speakers. I have used it battery operated for last three days with average 4-6 hrs listening and the battery indicator still have over 50% juice left. I have previous brought this speaker from Japanese reseller but have to return it because it could not be charged and battery operated. I am very pleased I brought this product. Best for portability, sound, and value if you can afford it.

The winner
As a musician I’ve been traveling for more than 18 years, and the need for a great portable speaker was always there, to work, to listen to mixes or just to stay updated with the music in the world, I tried everything, from the first Sony’s and Logic to the Bose line, passing trough the B&W and the B&O, some of them with very good audio quality but a lack of battery life, and sometimes with a need of a little more punch or volume. Finaly I get to the Dali Katch, that combines everything I’ve been looking for for years, easy connectivity, amazing sound in definition and quality, tremendous volume without distortion and a long long battery life. Very resistant and reliable speaker, pricey and not very small but in an overall view, the best option out there.

Dali Katch; Blue Tooth Speaker Excellence.
The Dali Katch speaker is an absolutely superb wireless blue tooth speaker. In its price range, it’s arguably the finest and most portable speaker available. It’s superbly designed, extremely compact, portable, well made and the general over excellence of the sound field it produces cannot be exaggerated. I’m extremely pleased with my purchase. My highest recommendation.

Love it!
I love the sound and the looks are appealing to me. Can fill my room with clean, articulated and well defined music with no distortion or exaggerated emphasis.

Great speaker
Great speaker - read the good and the bad reviews and went ahead and bought one - not sorry I did. I get that some may have issues but I really like the quality sound - the volume is totally ample for my use - while it was a bit on the pricey side I don’t mind as I really like the unit.

Very pleased.
Got blue. A work of art. Elegant, perfect size, and when it's time to play Cowgirl in the Sand she's ready to rock.

Fantastic bluetooth speaker - highly recommended for classical music
I listen to mainly classical (choral in particular) music and was far from convinced that this speaker would live up to the hype, especially having owned other bluetooth speakers (admittedly cheaper) and been disappointed. However, I am absolutely thrilled with this speaker, as it is able to produce amazingly realistic sound quality from a small unit... it is on constantly in my kitchen or conservatory (both reasonably large spaces) and produces more than enough volume for me, which had been a concern from reading other reviews. It might not suit people looking for booming bass on their pop music but for me it is perfect, as I am more interested in achieving (as close as possible) reproduction of a true performance than a particular ‘style’. NB the laws of physics still apply of course, so don’t expect the same result as from a large pair of floor standing speakers... even with that caveat, this sound is exceptional, to my ears at least...The ‘cloud grey’ version I purchased has a decidedly pink tinge, but this does not bother me and it looks classy, fitting in well with a light and airy environment (eg my kitchen, where this is mainly used). The battery life is great (24 hours claimed and seems about right on my usage to date).I am, overall, delighted and feel I have had value for money, despite the seemingly high price tag.

The best bluetooth speaker I've heard!!!!!
This is such a great speaker. I tested a lot of small compact bluetooth speakers which all had pretty good reviews and I was amazed at how bad the quality was. Speakers such as the Bose sound link mini. All the reviews make out they are so good. Now i am no expert in sound systems but to me they were ALL really tinny and sounded like what they are, very small speakers. So I decided to go upmarket and to something a bit bigger but still compact enough that I can take it traveling with me. The reviews for this Dali Katch speaker all looked very good so I gave it a go thinking i could just return it if it wasn't what i had hoped for. But, it is better than I hoped for. I am so impressed by this speaker, it sounds amazing for what is still a fairly compact speaker and it looks really good as well. I can't tell you enough how pleased I am with this. Get one!!! (and before you wonder, I don't sell speakers or have shares in Dali Katch)

Small and perfectly formed
I was not completely sure about this purchase, having done a lot of research. Yes, it had won a lot of rave reviews in specialist Hi-Fi magazines and on-line sources, but equally, some of the youtube video reviewers were less than enthusiastic and recommended alternative products. And, the Dali Katch is expensive. I have now had the product for three days and have tested it with my PC, phone and tablet in different locations in my house. I have no hesitation in saying that it is every bit as good as the top reviews have indicated. The sound has fantastic clarity and range and, for its size, real depth of sound. I already have a Bluesound wi-fi Mini Pulse connected to my home wi-fi, and this is a superb little speaker. It is, though, heavy, quite large and needs to be permanently plugged in to the power source. If you have a BT Home hub like me, you will also find that it loses the connection from time to time (BT hubs cannot separate the 2.4 Hz and 5Hz signals, so you can't permanently connect the Pulse to one or the other). I wanted something I could easily move around the house, but that would give good sound quality . The Dali Katch fits the bill perfectly, but not only gives good sound reproduction - it is outstanding. Not quite the depth of sound that the Bluesound can manage, but that is a larger speaker and costs a hundred pounds more. If you have been put off by a few negative reviews, don't be. This is an excellent product. It connects very easily to any bluetooth source and gives brilliant sound reproduction.

Best product I have ever purchased
I never thought I would live to see audio quality of this level in such a small and lightweight form factor. Travelling a lot, I used to lug a Bose system around with me that was still quite big and heavy and lacking something in its sound. But the Dali Katch really is almost everything I could wish for. It is mainly classical music I listen to, and its reproduction is truly superb. In fact, it has impelled me to go on a classical buying spree, including 24-bit lossless digital files. You can really hear the difference on this equipment.A slight quibble, I do find the 10-minute auto-switch off when unplugged irritating, as well as the sound emitted every time you switch it on. There should be some way of configuring this. Still, these are minor annoyances that don't detract significantly from an outstanding product.

Bluetooth speaker for grown-ups
I needed a bluetooth speaker mainly to listen back to music recordings made on an Olympus PCM Recorder (LS-P2) for reviewing song writing work-in-progress, but also for listening to the radio/podcasts anywhere in the house (especially in the kitchen), and for playing music for just listening to (from classical to contemporary, including blues, jazz, country, old songs from the early 20th century and anything else). Both my Pure Evoke radio and my hi-fi died some time ago and I haven't the money to replace them and buy a speaker for the Oly, so I needed something that would do everything. I also wanted a jack-to-jack connection (I'm old-fashioned that way). I tried the Bose Revolve and initially liked the clarity (especially in the kitchen) but the over-processed sound (boosted bass and hard-edged treble) started to annoy me after a while and it was no good for reviewing our song recordings as it was too bass heavy and the instrumental backing was pretty muddy. Okay, it was a bit unfair to expect it to do all that but then it developed an intermittent fault, becoming non-responsive to it's own controls and dropping the bluetooth connections, so it had to go back anyway. I did some more research and it was either the Kef Muo or the Dali Katch (which is double the price of the Kef Muo). I plumped for the Dali Katch and I am very happy I did. They've gone for quality rather than quantity: if you want to have a dance party in your basement you probably wouldn't find it loud enough or bassy enough but it's got more than enough volume for my purposes and the bass sits where it should in the mix which makes it great for classical and more complex arrangements, and for reviewing our recordings. I played some of Hugh Laurie's blues tracks through it and was blown away by the detail - I was hearing things I had never heard before, and suddenly my appetite for listening to music (which has become a bit jaded over the last couple of years) came back because you can actually hear what is being played - by everyone in the band. It is amazing sound quality for something this size. It's too heavy to sling in your hand bag and too big to put in your pocket, and I have to say it is not a thing of beauty. The colours are weird (why no plain black or silver?), and the handle does not inspire confidence and seems unnecessarily complex but I guess they wanted something that would recess when not in use. Also the shape of it, standing on its edge, doesn't feel quite safe so you have to be a bit careful where you place it. On the plus side, I can pick it up with one hand and it around the house without any fuss, it is portable enough in a shoulder bag or rucksack if needed, it is very easy and fast to connect and use, the buttons feel and work just right, and it is kind of stylish in its own slightly odd way. But the big thing about this product is the sound. It's a real, accurate, grown-up sound for people who like to be able to hear their music properly. Thank the gods I found it as I was in despair, having listened to everything else available on the high street. And although it is a weird colour, it does match my roller blinds. What more could a girl ask?
