I do have a Samsung Smart TV and its Operating System for some time had slow down, loading time drastically increased, I do watch quite a lot of online streaming services like Now Tv and Netflix and I use IPTV for tv channels and cause OS slow down has decided to go for android box.To be honest, this was a great decision, the operating system of this android box is much much better than Samsung OS that currently runs on my TV. It runs smooth and it does have a short time of loading which is very enjoyable. It does support 4k so I have no issues watching 4k movies on online streaming services. Android TV OS has much more applications and games for extra entertainment, it does have 3 USB ports, slot for TF memory card and handy remote control. Also, you do have option to connect tv box to the internet either via WI-FI or ethernet cable. I’m using wi-fi for now and so far I had no issues but I’m thinking to connect it via ethernet port for steady connection. There were some cheaper tv android boxes but I’ve noticed that their specs were much lower than this one so to make sure that I will get a proper box I decided to pay a little bit more and I don’t regret.

I thoroughly tested this device and sadly after a few days I returned it.The remote is noisy and feels as if it will not last anymore than 6 months. The clicking sound is very irritating, something you would not expect from a remote control, normally they are silent however this one is not.As for ease of use, I did not find any his easy to use, I am not a novice at devices, I have setup numerous devices for friends and family, and none were like this. A lot of the apps had to be removed and installed in order for them to work.Netflix refused to work, so after trying several of the other versions I finally found one that worked, sadly it was SD quality and very choppy sound and video.NowTV app simply does not work due to NowTV not allowing casting from a separate device.Sound quality is very poor, I have a NowTV box and 3 Firesticks, all of which have lower volume output than my STB; however I only need to increase the TV volume to 18 to have good sound, on this box I had to increase it more than double that so when adverts came on it was deafening.Considering the price of this box is more than a Firestick I found it to be completely useless when compared to Firesticks for the above reasons.Yes you can install third party apps, which you can also do on Firesticks; however comparing the overall experience, ease of use, sound and video quality I have to say the Firestick is a far better choice.

Consider myself a bit of a techie but this was testing my limits of how much time and effort I want to spend on a simple android device without going through hustle of troubleshooting why I'm having issues connecting to Wifi even though I have many devices connected without an issue. Also when trying to configure the interface and apps - google play was constantly crashing (at least 3 times). Resetting the device and looking for updates of firmware also didn't help.Poor software / hardware compatibility testing as there is no way that developers didn't see these issues themselves.

I jave had dozens of these to set up for family and friends over the last 5 years or so. So I do know what I am doing with them.This box appears to be made from very cheap components. Recieved promptly once installed the video output generated a green band across the screen. Alternate video lead didnt help so must be the box.Remote control doesnt come with batteries. But that didnt work either with proven hi powered batteries. Very poor. Returning for a refund.

When it first booted up, it was quite laggy, I couldn't understand how a device with 4GB RAM is so laggy, however I cleared up running apps, uninstalled a few preloaded ones and restarted it and it has worked well since. It's fast and not laggy at all. I do not have a 4K TV to test the 4K capabilities however 1080p looks really good, the screen resolution can also easily be adjusted. It's a decent media streamer at a decent price.

First time setup should start with a blue new device select language (see photo).Instead it starts up with login to google account, then prompts you to change password. There should be no need for this to happen. It is possible your keystrokes are being captured at this point.I had to fully lockdown my google account after this process, as my account was used at a hotel i never visited shortly afterwards. Coincidence maybe?Returned item. Im getting an Amazon 4k firestick.

I bought this to replace a much older android box. This has more RAM, internal storage, better WiFi etc. However, the older box puts this to shame. Its very slow and I've even looked for a firmware update (which I couldn't find) to see if it would solve the problem. I installed an app to check the specifications, all of which were as stated but it still runs slowly even though I have removed some of the bloatware that is pre-installed. If I had the choice I would choose a different box :(

This is a great device! very fast boot up and compatible with every app i need like kodi or vlc! also I have my external hard drive plugged in to it and works out of the box. No set up needed other than the wifi password.
