TR Industrial Forestry Safety Helmet and Hearing Protection System (Orange)

I bought this forestry helmet because I finally got tired of getting smacked in the face with branches while pruning my mulberry tree every year. I do not know why I didn't get it sooner! It works great! The helmet keeps the branches from hurting my head and the face shield deflects the branches from hitting me in the face. The mesh face shield is nice because it has excellent breathability and can't fog up. Even though it is plastic and not metal mesh as the pictures would suggest it is still plenty sturdy to do the job. The hearing protectors are effective and made a surprising difference in how tired I felt at the end of the day even though I was using an electric pole saw.Would I buy this if I was a professional arborist or fire fighter? No. But for a typical homeowner this helmet is good quality, works well and is a great value for the money. I would definitely recommend it.

This safety helmet will provide protection when clearing brush, operating wood chipper and similar activities. It's an excellent value for under $30. Saving yourself from injury is the reason for this helmet. Ordered this at 4:30a the day before renting a wood chipper. Helmet was delivered within hours!It's not a super heavy duty industrial helmet but it's plenty good enough for my usage.

Definitely not professional grade, but perfect for occasional use when overhead protection isn't your main concern. I bought this mainly for the hearing protection and face shield when I'm bucking firewood or clearing small brush. I'll use my old pro grade helmet when felling trees. It went together easily. Earmuffs and mesh shield do a great job. Came with a clear grinding type shield also. Lightweight and comfortable. Hopefully it will last if I treat it with care.

Fits well. Adjustible. More attention to decibel noise reduction would be helpful but few ear muffs are better. Need to use ear plugs also with chain saw but this is the case with most ear muffs. Overall a great value.

I purchased this helmet for weedeating. I haven't found safety eyewear that doesn't fog up and so I decided to try the mesh face shield. At the price point for this helmet, I did not have lofty expectations however the unit arrived and was easy to assembly. I tried it out with substantial weedeating and was very impressed. The helmet is sturdy and the ear muffs fit comfortably and the mesh visor does not fog up of course. This helmet / visor outfit is awesome. I insert my airpods and the ear muffs fit snuggly so my music is crystal clear. I also like that the visor pops up for when I'm putting new line on the weedeater. I highly recommend this helmet / visor setup. Well done!

I love this when using my chainsaw. the ear pieces are saving my ears.

The liner's side tabs slip out of their slots every time I take it off. There is no positive 'click' past a detent to hold them in like the other slots have (and they remain in place). The front clasps also do not join well with the forehead pad portion, which makes it difficult to get on properly, and impossible with one-hand since you have to pull the forehead portion down while putting the helmet on, or it'll just push it up and then the whole helmet slips around too much. Other helmets I've used that have similar adjustable head straps (bike, other utility helmets, etc) do not have this problem. I managed to get it to function enough for what I need, but that's only because I'm past the return window and I didn't try it soon enough to know. The adjustable liner is something I would think would be the easy part to get right for this. Even though I've got it about as tight as I can tolerate against my skull, it just doesn't feel secure or well-fitting for safety gear. When safety gear doesn't fit well, you tend to find reasons to take it off early or just not wear it at all. Reckon you get what you pay for.

Really impressed with this helmet, the quality is just as good as the brand name helmets but at a much lower price. Assembly was pretty straightforward, although figuring out how the face shield attached took a few minutes. Other than that, every clipped together easily, the materials are top notch, the headband is adjustable and sturdy (and made of soft/flexible plastic that doesn't dig into your head), and I really like that they include both a clear face shield and a mesh one. The ear protectors are well padded and comfortable, and use steel wires instead of plastic brackets (which tend to snap), plus they can be moved out of the way onto the back of the helmet when you're not using them which is GREAT. Overall, hard to beat this helmet for the price.

I wasn’t sure when I purchased this that it would be any good, simply because I thought it was a little inexpensive. But I’m really impressed with the quality, it’s extremely comfortable, and the ear protectors work very well. I use a lot of power tools, and, being female, I have a very small head - So I wasn’t sure this was going to fit, I wear a child sized motorcycle helmet that’s how small my head is, and this helmet fit very well - it’s fantastic. 👍👍👍👍

This is the best value for your money. Here are the pros and cons:The Pros: The plastic used for the helmet is of good quality, feels solid. The ear pads are adjustable and comfortable. The polycarbonate visor is very clear and larger than other competitors so it wraps around nicely to protect your face. Be sure to peel off the protective film on both sides of the plastic visor or it will look blurry. The metal mesh (not my favourite) is wider than other competitors and is of a close screen that will stop stones and some sand from hitting your face. The system is very easy to put together, is adjustable and comfortable. Mine came in Orange colour.The Cons: Some fine sand did get through the the fine metal mesh while doing lawn edging by the side walk so I switched to the plastic which is my first preference. When the plastic visor gets scuffed I will replace it, right now they are out of stock on Amazon.This is a great buy worth more than it’s price. Yes I would recommended it.
