Emerson 1F97-1277 Touchscreen 7-Day Programmable Thermostat for Single-Stage and Heat Pump Systems

My old 1F97-12777 would not record the temperature correctly even when I replaced the batteries. I read in the reviews that another person had the same problem. I ordered a new one, installed batteries, and put it back on the receiver pad. The new one worked right away! The old one lasted 15 years, and I am so happy that I could fix this problem myself! Great product in my opinion!

We had this product (similar model #1F95) installed several years ago. The temperature guage starting showing the temp in our house as 59 degrees and the temp continued to drop and the backlight went out. We could get the unit to come on if we dropped the set temperature down. We changed the batteries but this didn't fix the issue. I ordered this thermostat to replace the one we had and all I had to do was snap the other one off and snap this one on. It is working like a charm and the backlight on this one is brighter and much easier to read than the one we had. Very pleased and saved $$ not having to call a technician.

I love this thermostat. It does everything that it is supposed to do and looks great on the wall. The numbers are large and easy to read. And the best part is that it keeps me cool on these hot summer days of July.

Dead unit was an old (very old) White-Rogers nit, whose connector pins broke off when replacing a backup battery.Having a display that's ;arge is nice, the backlight is nice, the unit itself has better fuzzy logic in terms of how long it takes to trip on, how long it says on aFTER REcching the temperature, to avoid a need to come back on too soon, etc..Not pin compatible, but came with a decent product manual so the switchout was rather easy.

a few down sides....screen is dark until you touch one of the control icons, but once you touch a control icon to light the screen so that it is easily visible you have begun a program change such as temp change up or down, fan on off, etc..the other down side is that if you run a hold program and adjust the time to reset to original programming then that new time delay becomes the new hold program delay. If you are gone for a few days and set the hold for 72 hours then every time you hold again it is set at 72 hours instead of resetting to a standard 4 hour reset.I still am very pleased with the choice because it is one of only a few thermostats that controls the fan by programming as well as the temperature.

This replaces an earlier model that lasted 25 years and was still working, but the display was getting very dim. We like the auto-changeover feature that you usually only find on commercial stats. It came set up for our system... heat pump (cool + 1st. stage heat) and electric 2nd. stage heat. so we didn't have to configure it much at all, only the daily schedules.The instructions were complete, although a little hard to understand. We just kept re-reading until the professional lingo made sense.We had no choice but to install it ourselves, since our long time HVAC company said it wouldn't work on our system... trying to sell their own Lennox stat, I suppose.

Kids kept turning the air way down to the low sixties at night. This has a pin protected lock that works like a charm. I set the minimum temp to 75 and that's where it stays! Very easy to install and easy to understand instructions. It's not wifi compatible but I didn't want that anyway. I bought a slightly cheaper thermostat that claimed not to go lower than 75 but it was a piece of junk. I had to return it. Spend a few extra bucks and get this one.

Easy to install, too many programming instructions for a Semi Skilled Senior, but works GREAT !Need more visual instructions for programming?!

Thermostat Emerson 1F97-1277 Touchscreen 7-Day - Il a fonctionné quelques jours et par la suite il n'indiquait jamais la bonne température intérieure. Je le mettais à 13 C. et il faisait 24 C. dans la maison.La date indiquée sur le thermostat 2014-08-25 et je l'ai reçu septembre 2020.
