Bought this for my husband so he could have a traveling pole without taking all his gear. For the price I wasn't expecting top of the line but we were very impressed with the quality, not only is it a full-length pole but the eyes on the pole are chameleon which is really cool and the reel itself is really good quality, he's very happy with this travel set.

Buy a fishing rod on amazon for the first time! This fishing rod is really good, easy to carry, this set combination is really good. There are fishing line, bait, this is very suitable for the first time to go fishing and buy fishing rod!

I fish a lot in Utah and this is for a friend visiting me. We used this in past two days and it worked great. This is not a hundred dollars fishing pole for pros but it is super useful if you just want to try fishing. You can easily save 30 bucks compare to buy the same thing from Walmart.

I have not used it to fish yet... just finished putting it together.It does not come with any instructions. I have never put a pole together so I didnt know how to put the handle on, or the fishing line... I finally got it , but it was a frustrating process. One of the eyes that the line goes thru fell off immediately. The pole slides up and down to make it longer or shorter which is nice for my kids.However i found that the pole doesn't lock in place completely and would slide down sometimes when I was playing with it.All in all, it's nice for the money. I'm not an experienced Fisher so this will work out just fine for me I'm sure.UPDATE REVIEW:Both kids had a great time using the poles I bought. They are light weight and very easy for them to maneuver. I like how the handle folds up easily and how smoothly the pole compacts for traveling. I didn't realize how long the pole can adjust to, so it was perfect for my 12 year old and 14 year old to use at a half of the alloted length.

I'm just getting into fishing and was looking around for a rod and reel combo. I am very happy with this one! The rod and reel is very easy to set up. The package comes with some fishing line, I believe it is rated for 3 lbs but i'm not exactly sure. I played it safe and put on some fresh 6 lbs test. The next day I went fishing out of the local harbor and I caught a sand bass that weighed just over a pound. I was stoked to catch a fish with my new pole! Its telescopic which is great to save space. I highly recommend

One of the great things about this fishing rod is the way it retracts down to the size of my arm yet extends to the size of my body because of that I can hold this in my car to have it with me at all times should I have that random urge to go fishing. it's very portable and out of the way and it's built with quality material so it doesn't seem like it'll break easy and for the price
