The media could not be loaded.  The dvd reader worked well. I used the drive on my MacBook Air. Easy to use. The drive itself is a decent weight; pretty lightweight. I didn’t watch the whole dvd but I skimmed through it using the fast forward/skip buttons and had no issues. I like that there was no software needed to play the DVD. I will have to use the writing function soon so I will see how that goes. Curious to see how it will work and what will be needed to burn a DVD/CD.

I needed a drive that could play DVDs and read CD's. I am glad it works well with my Macbook Pro. I can watch DVD's no problem. I have a lot of old photos on CDs. It was easy to download them from the CD's with this drive. All I had to do was plug the USB C connection to my Macbook Pro. I didn't have to plug in my MacBook pro at the same time. A very easy system to use and a good value as well. Recommended.

I was looking for the best External CD DVD Drive just because I got my gaming pc without one and I also wanted one for my Chromebook too. And I found it with Version TECH the product is light weight sleek to the touch at first I thought it was plastic but its not. It's very nicely made and looks elegant at least to me. True to description I have no complaints. I love the product going to purchase another one for my husband. I've used it to install a couple of programs for my gaming pc, there was no lagging installed every programe smoothly, its easy to use no need to install anything to get it going. Now my daughter is using it to watch DVD's on the Chromebook.

Edit: Customer service has been amazing and has replaced my item. I don’t believe this is an amazing product as I still experience glitches here and there but for the price I think it is worth it.This is probably the worst thing I have ever purchased through Amazon. I am using this product for my MacBook Air as it needs an external DVD drive. To start, although the cable technically fits into my laptop it does not feel like it is the correct fit. I had to almost force it in and I was nervous that it could cause harm to my laptop if I used it over time. Then it appeared to not stay connected and I believe that is because of the cord. At one point I could not get it to turn back on to eject the DVD that was in it. I spent minutes attempting to turn it back on, but it would not connect and I was unable to get my movie out for some time. I would give this a zero star rating if I could. I strongly suggest that you do not purchase this product. I have not attempted to use the USB cord with another device and cannot say if it works better that way, but it clearly states that this product is comparable with the MacBook Air. I am honestly baffled by the high reviews this product has received.

The DVD player works on and off, mostly off and I could never figure out the correct way to make it work consistently. I should have returned it a long time ago, but stubbornly tried to find a way to make it work most of the time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this player , it is a wast of money.I used it with an iMac machine OS 12.6

Alittle tricky getting produce to eject to openAttractive

Honestly I wasn't expecting much as it didn't look like it was super high quality in the photos. However, when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Very well wrapped and protected. Tried it out within 2-4 days after arrival. Works great! Highly recommend to anyone out there. Oh, I should add, I bought this to replace my Apple product. It stopped working after only a few months. Being in school, I needed something ASAP!

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this one because the shade of pink in the product photos is the same color as my rose gold MacBook Air… it’s barely even pink in real life??I only bought one to download one CD that has bonus tracks you can’t get on streaming services yet, so at least it works and i am able to download my CD onto my computer.Just very disappointed in the color and the look of the device. I wouldn’t have bought this one if I would’ve known it looks nothing remotely like it claims to look.

Item didn't function and has been refunded

角ばっていない見た目と色、二股のUSBがいいなと思い購入しました。音はそれなりにしますが、私は音楽の取り込み用として購入したので特に問題なし。2020年購入のMacBook Airと使いましたが、動作も正常でした。あとこれは私の確認不足だったのですが、背面にコード収納用の溝がありませんでした。無くさないように気をつけます。

購入当初は問題なく使用出来ていたのですが、一年経たずに不具合が発生してしまいました。具体的には、1曲目は読み込むのですが、何故か2曲目以降読み込まず…。どのＣＤを入れても１曲目しか読み込まない…。保管も特に雑に扱う事もなく普通にしていたのですが。見た目がカッコ良くて気に入ってたのに残念です。

This device continually says “skipping over damaged area”. It happens perhaps every 10 minutes. At first I assumed some of our dvds were damaged. But you can always scoot it back and reply the same scene without problems. This seems to happen on every DVD we own. I have finally concluded that it is the player. I don’t recommend this one.
