This will last a lifetime. The hinge is sturdy, the pot itself is well formed and faultless. The handle might get hot if you seep your tea with the gandle over the hotplate, so guess what, just move it slightly so the handle isn't near the heat source. The hinge and lid do get hot obviously however it doesn't get in the way of pouring. I can make 2 mugs of tea for my morning brew during work, perfect.

This teapot is excellent in every way, flawless design. Made of 18/10 stainless steel, it is easy to clean and indestructible. It is a practical teapot. Perfectly formed spout doesn't drip. The hinged lid stays shut when pouring. If others claim it doesn't, they must be holding the pot upside-down or filled it to the very brim, which is never wise! The handle has a melamine insert to protect against heat when pouring. It makes hot, excellent tea!

It’s what I ordered- great size- looks nice- but gets really hot to the touch - the handle and spout as well.. Can’t use it for hot tea without using hot pads and lots of care.

I searched for the longest time to find a teapot that can boil water that does not whistle. You would think that wouldn't be that hard to find but apparently most people want a whistling kettle. I love the look of the teapot on my stove. It is made of good quality and was just the size I was looking for. I am very happy with my purchase.

Too small a base for the smallest burner on the stove so you have to be careful so the flame from gas stove doesn’t tarnish outside. The inside appears like it is starting to rust.

Spout doesn’t drip. Does great with a hot plate to keep tea warm for hours. Handle doesn’t get hot. Well balanced. If the get the smaller sizes in stock, I’ll purchase that too

Excellent product. Worth paying extra $s for quality.

Cheaply made, light weight with a piece of metal running across top inside of pot which makes cleaning or wiping the inside of the pot difficult without scraping your hand. The lid on the one I sent back would stick as you pushed it up to add water or tea bags.There are much better options at Amazon.

The teapot is perfect.
