It is different from the other cookbooks. The recipes are complicated. Hard to find the categories.

If you have a Cookzen... you have to stop and buy this book.If you own one, you already know you can make dinners in less than 20 minutes. It's the best invention ever!I work 60 hours a week and am barely home to eat, so making dinner when I get home from work is really rough for me. When I use the cook-zen it makes life soo much easier. My only issue was that I was making the same things over and over again, since I only had the recipes that came with the cook-zen.When I saw this book on Amazon ... I had to get it!Now I am making clam chowder, mussels, seafood, chocolate truffles, soups of all kinds, and it has changed my cooking habits.Thank you for publishing it in English, since my Japanese reading level is non-existent.

You must buy the special cook zen pot. These recipies are great, texture of finished dish is wonderful. Great for summer when you don't want to heat up kitchen.

My fault for not figuring this out in advance, but this cookbook has zero utility if you don't own the Cook-Zen microwave cooker.

Good food, simple to prepare, clear directions! The companion book, Cook Zen is also excellent! Can we cook everything this way?

This is my second cook-zen book. I got the first one (the japanese food style one) at a local used book store. I had only leafed through it and then got it to only realize later that you needed a cook-zen to cook with. Well, twist my arm to get another kitchen gadget. I waited (in)patiently for it to arrive and then I was a microwaving machine. I just knew I had to get this cookbook for the more western style recipes in it. This one took forever. The shipper shipped it the next day, but it went media mail and took it's time.After checking out the book, I was a bit saddened. Most of the recipes were okay. The soups sounded like they might be good, but a lot of it was lacking. There is a recipe with scallops that all you use the cook-zen for is the scallops and then you wrap it in bacon with a piece of avocado. Kinda lame. I'll keep the book as a reference point, but I will most likely just keep looking at the first cookbook.
