Just because it fits the keto macros doesn't mean it's good for you.
Well, I'm hugely disappointed. Here's the deal. Yes, Carbquik fits most ketogenic diets, and yes, it's a fun replacement for low-carb eaters. But here are the dangers. This stuff is HIGHLY processed. The first ingredients are enzyme enriched wheat, vital wheat gluten, wheat fiber, high protein patent wheat flour, soy fiber, and canola oil. None of these are good for your body. Basically what they've done is take wheat and modify and adulterate the heck out of it to fit within the low-carb macros. "Enzyme enriched" essentially means they pulled so much out of the wheat that they had to add something back to make it edible. The creators also used canola oil and soy-based protein. The science shows these two ingredients can increase inflammation, boost estrogen, and cause a host of other health issues. You can forget non-GMO.I'm not telling anyone they shouldn't eat something. You need to do your own research about these ingredients and make your own decisions. Personally, I think you're better eating clean, naturally nutrient-rich foods on a low-carb diet and leave the man-made, GMO garbage in the garbage.

raises blood sugar
I had one measured serving of this product (made as biscuit, so only water added) with water to drink. No other food. My blood sugar went up 50 mg/dl when I tested 80 minutes later so there is no way this stuff is just 2 net carbs. Closer to the full 16 carbs on the nutrition label. However that 16 carbs is still half of what regular flour would have, so it's better than flour for diabetics at least in terms of carb count. The texture of the food made with carbquik is almost identical to bisquick. So a crumbly, biscuit type crust is what you'll get if you use it for pizza crust.I bought the two pack so will use this for pizza crust occasionally but probably won't buy it again once I'm done with it.I did have moderate GI discomfort when I ate the baked product without anything else, but when I had some 'normal' food along with it, or used it for pizza crust, the GI impact was negligible. (sorry for the TMI).

Love this product
Thos product makes the keto diet easy!!! I could live on the biscuits alone, but I use it in so many ways. Cookies cakes even sausage gravy!! I cant say enough good things about Carbquick. A little tip: when making the biscuits cut a 1/4 cup cold butter into the mix before you add your liquid. Amazing!!!

Perfect low-carb alternative
I absolutely love this mix. My husband and I have been following a low carb lifestyle for a while and it is difficult to find any truly low carb bread alternatives. This is the ticket! The dough is a different texture than I'm used to, but the cooked product (regardless of application) is tender and tasty. So far, I've tried biscuits, pancakes, and waffles. I've purchased this several times over and will continue to do so. Great product!

Best low carb mix for biscuits and other baked items, super item for pancakes
I have reviewed prior and love love love this product. It makes the best fluffy pancakes and I have made nice mug cakes and other baked products subing it for half the almond flour and it adds a lightness to the end product. Biscuits tastes almost like regular biscuit mix. Caution: It does have mostly fiber in the mix so anyone not used to eating a lot of fiber should be warned to up your water intake and add some fat to your diet until you get used to the higher fiber content of this or similar high fiber foods. (also don't eat it every day for a week and not expect to have tummy troubles, common sense applies here) I have purchased several times and will purchase again.

Voice of reason
Biscuits are not just awful. Sausage gravy was wierd. Dumplings sucked. Was like eating wierd wet cake with chicken broth poured on it. Haven't tried anything else not sure I will. Went on a keto kick have done keto many times no issue this latest run well had me with the runs. Haven't decided if it was this frankenflour or allulose or all of the above. Long story short...I'm done keto-ing this go round did me in. I will snack on healthy whole grains in opposed to putting myself through expensive torture. The flavor of this is a tad wierd but its keto flour so you expect wierd. I will say if I were to stick with keto it would be bit better than almond flour which is grainy wierd. If you don't plan on making this a life long flour sub and never eating white/wheat flour again let me be the voice of reason. I just bought 2 pretty expensive boxes of wierd flour that I will not use. Even if i were to use it, it is definitely not great enough to make a lifelong reg flour sub. So really think about this purchase. The wonderful reviews of "Keto miracle" "Taste like real flour" "Game changer" sucked me in. And although it's not something that is so disgusting that you can't stomach it. It's not a very doable lifelong change. Which is what I'm more focused on at this point. I gave it 3 for a quick short term fix it's ok. The ease of use adding water and go is nice..

So versatile!
I heard about Carbquick from my daughter's boyfriend as I was somewhat following a keto diet. Anyway, I have used this almost every day. For breakfast I add some cinnamon and monkfruit to make a cinnamon biscuit to go with my hard boiled egg. For lunch, I'll add onion and garlic powder, flatten a lot, bake and use for my sandwich. Looking forward to trying more ideas (I once even tried to make cinnamon rolls.; they tasted good but it was difficult to roll). I really need to look at the recipes provided. :-)
