My 5 yr old and I LOVE THIS BOOK! I would give this 10 stars!I highly recommend it!Easy to read words (and author throws in one hard word per few pages, just for fun & challenge). Sight words listed @ back. Author suggested ways to encourage child to read faster is included at back cover (such as read these words in less than one minute). Funny drawings! Illustrator perfectly captured each animal's facial reactions, which my child finds amusing (hence encourages reading further). As much as I want my child to read different books, he always wants to read this book daily.

This is a great first reader. My kid loves reading it every night and bringing it into school to read in front of his class.

My 1 year old grandson LOVES this book. He goes straight to it and hasme read it over and over. My 4 year old granddaughter is just now starting to read it to him and the rhyming repetitions help a lot. The 2 of them enjoy this book very much!

I love this book. I was 5 years old when my dad help me read this book. It brings back memories it was my first book I ever read. Now I'm 25 years old and I have children of my own I just had to get this book. Its fun, easy to read. I wish cherish those memories and create new ones with my children.

Fun short story to read and cute illustrations. Only wish it came as a board book if you’re looking to start incorporating phonetics early.

Our son loves this book and has memorized it. It's pretty simple, the rhymes are memorable and short, and the illustrations are very topical, which aids retention. He also says the word "scat" perfectly now, along with the names and sounds of all the animals in the book :)
