Easy to install
What can I say? - It exceeded all my expectations. Easy to install, (I used the eyelet kit), fastens securely, bright...

bright light with good build quality to it.
these are really bright lights that were built with good quality. The kayak light is pretty much the R25 on a pole that can be clipped on to a point on the kayak. For $50+ i was expecting the light to be height adjustable, it was not *in their defense it was advertised as a fixed light, but im just giving my opinion". I have it mounted right behind my seat on my sit on top kayak and it's too short to be seen if your coming in front of me (my head blocks it). *i was contacted by Kayalite and provided with the following reasoning. "Much of the 18" height has to do with reliability if the kayak rolls or if the light is inadvertantly impacted by a paddle or tree limb. Another issue is night vision of the padder, compromised if the light casts rays on the paddle or forward deck" which makes sense. I feel as though the deck mounting kit should be included with light for the price. Overall if you looking for a bright light for your kayak to be seen at night, this is probably your best bet without custom rigging something your self.

Excellent Customer Service
I am anxiously waiting for this product as it could not be shipped to my country (Pakistan) - it was picked up by my brother in the US. Meantime, the customer service provide by the Kayalu Team (thanks Steve Hollinger) was excellent. As a first time sea paddler i cannot wait for this product for night time paddling. Team Kayalu gave excellent customer service to facilitate my order in terms of in-land shipment within the US and know-how on the product. Will write an extensive review on the product itself once my brother brings it to Karachi, Pakistan in a couple of weeks.

So far so good.
August 20, 2022, the delivery day promised.I just opened the box and some rodent had chewed on the plastic packaging, photo included. Upon product inspection, no bite marks on either light so I have no concerns about them. Both product batteries 2x (3) AA worked, lights turned on and off with no issues and per instructions removed lenses and reattached to release any air pressure that may have built up over time.I haven't tested them on stream or at night, but they weren't as bright as I was expecting. No fault of the product, just poor expectations on my end and also testing with the room lights on. I'm sure they're bright enough to be seen at night which is the only fair test of their brightness.I will update this review upon an actual field test with pictures of brightness and mounting.

Great light for kayaks, got two of them
Light works great for my kayak, love it. Meets the requirement for Texas light on public water for night fishing.

Decent kayaking lights
The pole light that you mount is very bright and seems pretty durable. I haven't installed an eyelet yet mainly because I'm very rarely on the water after dark and I just can't get myself to punch a hole in my new yak (I just brace it inside the stern well, works fine). The flashlight is, well, just a flashlight. Haven't noticed it being any brighter than a traditional one, and really haven't found a good use for it. It's a little big to keep attached to your PFD or wrist when you're not using it, and unwieldy if you're trying to use it to change lures or do something else with your hands. I would argue that these lights are virtually indistinguishable from shore lights to people on larger boats. From a distance, it looks exactly like the reflection of street lamps on the water (not good, I want a bigger boat to SEE me with no doubt as to where and what I am in). I plan to install my own LED strip lighting on the front and back before I do any real night or early morning yakking.
