Only works one way
I fidgeted with this for an hour, never getting it to work. Then I followed TheCyberQuake's instructions. First Power, then USB, then Kinect. Low and behold, it works now!

Works, if you plug it in this way
So like other 1 star reviewers, when I initially received the item, I had the problem where it constantly connected and disconnected. I even went so far as to begin initiating a return. But this morning, I decided to give it one more go to see if I could get it working. And I think I found the solution. Before, I was plugging in the kinect, plugging in power, and then plugging the USB into the computer. This time, however, I decided to try plugging in the power, then plugging in the USB BEFORE plugging in the kinect. And lo and behold, the adapter works now. Kinda domb it has to be done that way, but now it works for the sole purpose I bought it for: no green screen beat saber mixed reality.

Works great, but needs WAY more instructions from seller
Alright, this is kinda a pain in the butt to setup, but once you do, you should be golden.1) Install SDK and runtimes2) Connect in this order: DC Power, USB to Computer, Kinect**NOTE: If you get the disconnecting error, make sure the kinect is on its own dedicated USB Controller (unplug everything else, this sucker requires a lot of bandwidth)Most of this I had to figure out from the web, but it works if you know how to use it. As far as the USB bandwidth goes, that is a known problem with Microsoft.

It's a hassle to set up. But once you do, it's worth it.
It works. My xbox one kinect is recognized on windows 11 after installing the required drivers. Unfortunately the power cable it came with that attatches to the ac adapter was faulty. I had to attatch a spare just to get it to work. Quality control seems to be an issue, but the unit itself was fine in the end.

Works on XBox One S
I had an original Kinect from XBbox One launch, but at some point had upgraded my console to the One S without the Kinect port. Fast-forward to six months into COVID, and me looking for physical activities for my kids, and I found my Kinect in a box. Grabbed this adapter, and it works great! Kinect itself still has limitations around quality of tracking and all that, but that has nothing to do with this adapter. Great for the dancers
This is a nice value price for the item, my grandkids enjoy coming back over, I have upgraded my Xbox one and I wasn’t able to play on my connect without this piece and I went online and I seen this item and it works beautifully, it sometimes says check cable connection, But overall it works wonderfully
